The Triumph Daytona is supposed to go for a refresh in 2013, so I hope Triumph India gets the new one homologated and not the old one.

I am not at all against GT650. However, anyone who has seen that bike up close can vouch that it will not last beyond couple of years. The installed parts are cheap and look cheaper. VFM works when the VALUE you are getting out of the product is more than the MONEY you are paying. Here it is not.Originally posted by RedFlash View PostI totally agree with you. Despite being an Inline 3 bike, the Daytona 675 is the best Supersports bike on earth.No 600cc supersports(CBR600RR,ZX6R,YZF-R6,GSX600R) can compete with it to win on a track nor at daily roads.Sharpest cornering,awe inspiring power delivery and providing rider confidence makes it the best.
Bikes like GT650R,Ninja650R,GSX650F,CBR600F are regular 600cc sports, and not Supersports hence they should not be compared with Daytona.
Daytona 675 is the best 600cc sports bike on the whole planet until MV Agusta's F3 proves it otherwise and you won't get a MV at that price in India, even if they build a factory here.........nor the Japanese 600cc supersports-as they do not intend to produce supersports bike here(they are happy with the 100cc and 125cc sales and with sales of ridiculously highly priced Superbikes).Last edited by MACH50; 01-07-2012, 04:14 PM.Hell's Angel

Ducati 848 Evo, now the Daytona 675. Only one missing the competetion is Suzuki GSXR - 750...Can't include F3 becasue of the price factor.
Moreover, it's hard to find any latest comparo between the above three. In the 600s, we have GSXR 600 as the 'Motorcycle-USA.com' winner for the supersports category. The 750 and 848 have are in sort of 'no questions asked' position. However, same can't be said about the Daytona as it is the closest one to the 600s.
But anyways, the Triumph is all set to play big in the Indian market. Let's see if Japenese can challenge them or not....Last edited by MJ1984; 01-08-2012, 04:01 AM.

The only news in recent times and post 2007 is the launch of MV's own F3 which infact might become a revelation and only competitor to the Daytona 675's mastery.But still Daytona would win when it comes to Value For Money.
I do not agree, an above 5lac bike for daily use ??? I have to say Street Triple is the more practical option for weekend fun on Indian roads and not at all for daily use if you reside in an Indian metropolitan.
It is the same condition everywhere.
Daytona 675 is meant for those who want to do short highway trips on weekend for a day.The best among Supersports only for the smooth roads.
Street Triple is for them,those who aspire to spend vacations and weekends on a bike, invading mountains and sea beaches and going over broken roads without breaking the back or cracking the full-covered fairing panels under the bike-A no nonsense standard naked bike.
Needless to say, both bikes have performance enough and enough and more than enough for Indian roads for the next 10-15 years.

Looks like Triumph is here to change the equations or at-least rewrite it.
Great model selections from classics to cruisers to super-sports with a unique 3-cylinder engine. For one I am impressed even-tough I am a Japanese sympathizer . They have definitely done their homework and have made the right first steps.
The only thing now is the right sales and service backup.
Now I am interested in these 3 models in order
1. Street triple
2. Speed triple
3. Daytona
