The waiting should end in 2013 or 14. If in 2014, the correct time for me to get myself a gift for going on pension

Interesting... It has a revised, lighter frame, revised steering head, new design exhaust. It is claimed to be 13 pounds lighter. Expect these to be carried over to the revised Daytona.Originally posted by mid View Post

Launch of Triumph Motorcycles, the iconic British motorcycle brand, has been realigned to April-May next year, a delay of nearly one year from the earlier announced plans.
The UK-based, 125-year-old specialized two-wheeler company had committed to launching seven premium motorcycles in India starting at Rs 4.5 lakh with the Bonneville by June-July this year, just in time to meet the festive demand.
The company has been speaking to state governments of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to set up an assembly plant but hasn't met with much success.
"I can only confirm that Triumph are planning to launch in India during early quarter 2, 2013. We are in active discussions with a local government agency to acquire land for our manufacturing requirements. However, the deal has not yet been finalized", said a spokesperson of the company from the UK.
Lack of any activity towards setting up of dealerships or an assembly plant fully on its own has led to the substantial delay. The company initially was looking at tie ups with a local partner for expansion in dealership but eventually decided to go solo.
"Currently there are no Triumph dealerships open in India and the plan is to have dealers operational by early 2013 and sales/bookings to start after that", clarifies a statement on the website of Triumph.
The company had declared plans of launching its range by June this year in India followed by a plant inauguration in December. It had showcased its models at this years' Delhi Auto Expo unveiling seven models chosen for India launch starting at Rs 4.5 lakh.

Triumph has finalized its India partners. They are currently busy with Brazil launch. The efforts to acquire a plant site have went in vein. Triumph is currently trying to lease an existent plant which is useless right now (cant disclose name due to obvious reasons)Originally posted by pp180 View PostAny body heard about triumph launch dates , Any buzz .

Trust me they will come soon (as mentioned in another comment) and when they do they will be here with a bang and to stay
My suggestion, if you have waited for so long, wait for some more while. its worth it

Could you please give me some more information? as to when we can expect a launch and if any price increase? You can PM me as i am confused between Street Triple and Ninja 650. Now that bookings have reopened for Ninja, i dont want to miss the bus this time.Originally posted by rossi_god View PostTriumph has finalized its India partners. Currently their price range is very much a delight and cant really be sure if it will change by the time it launches. In case of a Street triple or Ninja 650, the best way is to ride both and decide. My opinion, i've ridden and heard the parallel twin ninja and i'd anyday wait for even another year for the inline 3 Street....sounds just killlllerrrrrrrrrrr (it'll be priced extremely competitive to the Ninja)
