Around an year of speculation and now just about 2 weeks for the launch and we don't even have any idea about the specs of the new pulsars so far. What the?! It looks like bajaj is keeping some really big things from us enthusiasts.. Lets wait and see.. Hoping for the best

    • No pulsars spotted till date

Even the KTM 200 was spotted at various parts of India but not even a single word on new-gen pulsars.
are they planning to launch the vehicle without doing a test run

      • It's pretty strange, but hey did we get anything on P135LS before the teaser was released by Bajaj?? Everyone came to know about the news only when it was officially declared by Bajaj that they are going to launch a smaller pulsar.

One more thing I keep wondering about is, it's already known that next gen pulsars are going to share Duke's platform. So, who knows, Bajaj might have been testing all their engines in Duke's clothes?? after all different clothese are not going to make a lot of difference to naked bikes, what do you think guys?? And the other changes such a wheelbase, sprocket size are really difficult to notice when the bike is on the move.

Maybe they were disguised as old-gen pulsars... at least the new engines can be tested in old frames itself. Anyways, they have quite a big test track to conduct most kinds of testing.

            That's a weird conclusion.

They better test new pulsars before launching.

              Yaa...agreed about P135

but are u serious about the engine testing on Dukes body....?i guess its a joke
a body design can do so much changes on the engine & testing it on another body & frame is nothing but waste of time & money

yup u maybe right......but hopes they could come up with a better swing arm & frame ....
current gen pulsars have tweakly modded calibers swing arm & this is the reasons for the pulsars bad handling....hopes new pulsars will be good for cornering just like the R15.....

Actually its not that hard to disguise anything as an OLD Gen Pulsar. Just replace the tail section + tank + headlamp on ANY bike with current Pulsar.. and Voila!! The General public is not smart enough to gauge engine block / chassis / swing-arm / exhaust changes.. even if they do notice changes.. they might pass them off as a 'cheaply modified Pulsar'.

yup..but did Bajaj won't spend their money for these kind of test runs....?
just think about the first gen P220..they had tested that bike only on track before the launch...even the medias got the first test ride on their testing track facility...

all i want is a better handling Pulsar...in my opining, only slight increase in power is necessary for Indian road conditions because a 220 can accelerate to 120 kmph easily & that speed is more than enough,
now we needs a better handling Pulsar..

The news may be authentic as bikeindia is one of the few responsible sources, by according to this article .. i have feeling that the new pulsar will be indian replica of KTM200 , as in the news its mentioned that it will be P200 which gonna launched , i surely assume that due to no one had seen new pulsar testing or the bike in test , and all the time KTM200 is seen during the tests, as someone said the engine may be tested in DUke body or the new pulsar might be 100% localized Duke with Bajaj power plant.

in the above case KTM200 will be price way pricier than anticipated and P200 with similar styling will take care mass demand

                              • ^^^ that my friend is unlikely, Bikeindia article clearly mentioned that Duke 200 is going to be DOHC 200cc engine, while Pulsar is going to be SOHC 200cc engine. If you are just talking about the looks, may be likely as we haven't seen any test mule of P200
