Thanks for info but actually raja_roadster in the page 6 of this thread asked about the add.
And about the pics iam not in a hurry so post them whem u get the time .
And day before tommorow when i went to agra i was shocked to see that there were lots of nv 4t roaming about the city and sadly people are more inclined towards 4t than 2t (not seen even a single 2t ) i guess this may be due to mileage reasons and after seeing the scoot in flesh i noticed that the quality of paint job and fit and finish was much better than before.I think lml want to do a strong comeback.

Correct Going 4 stroke due to mileage...Dad is getting approx 57....

Quality of paint and spares are same as earlier scooters of LML...body as solid...

We have been using the LML from last 20 years...this is our third NV...

In new NV, i would like to see more improvement like DC lights, horns...existing one does not have...now they have start rolling out Self Start scooters too...

The new NV has Handle top taken from select but the sharp lines does not match with the gear and accelerator top end...

Tyres should be of tubeless or at least to tuff-up...but they are still from earlier ones...

From new 4 Stroke NV they have introduce halogen headlight bulbs...which is very common now...but they introduce it now...and 2 stoke still have a round shape headlight bulb...

Acceleration is fast...but riding in wind is an problem...

Regarding the improvement lml should also add digital speedo, under seat storage for helmets and other things and should also launch the fuel injected version of nv just like star200i

AND regarding the tyres which tyre u are using and if u want tube less one i think u have to change the rim to which would increase the cost of scoot too and yes they could atleast provide tuff up ones and u can also change to mrf nylogrip plus but.... i dont recommend it beause it resulted in rear wheel slipping in my bajaj super while slowing down from 50kmph

And about headlight bulb i think it is halogen in 2t too and i have seen that in a lml dealer shop in agra

And can u please tell me that which version of nv u r using ,is it a delux or standard version also is ur dealer provided u the side stand, central locking system or is these things can be added saperately and how's the flow of head light considering the new halogen bulb and hav u checked its top end yet please tell me i am eager to know the top end because earlier modelsof nv used to touch105 or maybe 110kmph and sorry for so many quaries

and i forgot to mention one thing that the lml star which was launched in 1990s also had ES i know this because my mama ji is also having one from 1990s having ES
(please excuse me for any typo erroe ,was in a hurry)
          cheers

Currenty running on Stock tyres...and headlight bulb comes as halogen for 4 Stroke NV...2 stroke does not have a halogen bulb...beam of light is good...i have changed the stock bulb to P200...white light (Not pure white) ...its brightness is very good compare to normal bulb...

Top speed i havn't check i generally take scooter for going to near market...as we can carry the bags easily......

Front storage space has been replaced with "LML Select" storage space...now new NV has more storage space....

BTW..LML Select too has been again on Sale...and a NV with chrome finish and alloy with Disc too has been on Sale...

if u want to buy a scooter for ur dad then u should wait for vespa lx 125 and if ur dad is a geared scooter lover only then go for star because auto tranny is much more comvinent to old people than the MT and also star will not give the desired mileage and fe would be around 35 to 40 kmpl in city because it is 200 cc and IMO its a highway machine and if u can wait then go for lx 125 .OT and no offence ment to activa users ,please do not end up buying activa its very common on road and is under powred as compared to lx 125 .And if u cant wait then follow my stupid suggestion ,come here to delhi and buy a NV and transport it to ur city and IMO servicing it there in ur city and finding the spares will not be a problem
@veryhiphop ,bro u had promised me to post the pics of ur dad's scoot ,please post them and please also give the add of ur lml dealer as one of our fellow member had asked about it in this thread. Thanks

              Thank you Super SBk!
Dad Owns A Bajaj Chetak 1988 still running the company paint and still looks new! It is infact as old as me! But sadly the engine is living its after life a 6v point driven engine which probably returning an average of 15km to the litre so an average of 35 to 40 is too much too ask for would be more than happy with it. The scooter is still used by my dad everyday but the problem is it breaks down very often, the points are the culprit in most cases that said! Dad doesn't like the activa he complains of back pain riding it even I have felt the same the seating is not very comfortable, so coming to the vespa was looking forward to it but I am from OOTY am dead sure that there wont be a service center so for a new to be launched scooter not a wise decision and dad also prefers the MT! I would not mind getting the star 200 because its not a difficulty to find a decent mechanic just for periodic maintenance! So there it is I am inclined to the MT say star 200 or would not mind the select, nv range too but availability is a question! I have already thought about shipping one from Delhi but will have to get into some details! Any help from fellow members are welcome

Bro,if the problem is with 6V point system then change it to 12 v point system and it is very easy i have got it done on my bajaj super its a 1990 model so there wont be a problem with ur scoot to and is ur dad is using scooter with split seat with a spring below it because it is very comfortable and may be responsible for uncomfortableness on active .AND u can get the nv and select range in delhi and its refreshed too with ES which would be boon in city as ur dad is riding bajaj chetak i would suggest u to go with the nv 2t because of sound note and i am damm sure that ur dad will not like the sound note of nv4t after riding bajaj.GO for nv its a nice ,reliable, powerful and fun to ride scooter

Yup! You are spot on it is the one with the split seat and a spring under! The engine has done too much running around and changing the point I don believe would make any more difference! Apart from all these I am not able to find a good mechanic back at home. I even tried getting in touch with Bajaj if they have an unsold engine that can be used but alas! No luck! I want to rebuild that very scooter very much but for now it is not possible since I am very tight on cash. I want to gift that very scooter back to my dad after complete restoration that I will in a years time but for the time being want to buy a new one, any idea as to how I can get intouch with the LML people, they dont have an official site either! No news about probable launch, kind of in the dark! Are you by any chance aware of when they would be launching the star 200 or atleast expand to the south?

Oh thats great that u want to restore ur dad's scoot and please start a restoration thread whenever u restore it.Now if u want the scooter urgently then my safest bet would be nv because i think nobody is having any clue about the launch of star and i have searched on net about the launch and the articles regarding the post were almost 10 monthes old and i have also contacted mr. Kamal of burnyourfuel and he too dont have any info frm lml and going by the speculations lml should launch the star by the third quater of this year because it would be too late and regarding there website i think it is Lml World- Index.aspx for lml - Redirect - fr and its too not working and i only have a single no. of lml kanpur office from where i dont get any satisfactory ans. The no. Is 05122691384 and bro keep me informed if u get any success .And i will not be available upto 29 april, till keep revving

Any idea what happened to this ? I would love to see the long stroke Star 200 4t launch in India.

Look at its site: LML Italia

11.5 BHP Power, 14.5 NM Torque, 4-speed gearbox, rear monoshock, front disc brakes and the next model will have fuel injection - this thing is going to (atleast IMO) totally kill Vespa LX125. It costs less than the LX125 in Europe, should be in India for under Rs. 70,000 on-road

As a response, would be appropriate only if Piaggio responds with the real original deal, Vespa Home Page
Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.
