HONDA sells the same bike in the south Americas as the NXR150 BROS
Only wish they had launched a 250+cc version in India.

This is what I've been told by the RE showroom guy here in Pune..
Was told the same thing by the Bandra showroom, where my cousin booked his classic.

The leg guard is not available even as an option... He said we have to purchase it outside and get it fixed also outside... I really found that weird...

Nope not at all, the saree guards comes as a fixture here in Chennai and Bangalore region, but still, is this HERO bike trying to position this bike as a dirt bike??? but how much market share can this bike could expect than the other commuting,

Who is going to buy this kind of bike in India ?
Will you drive this bike to your office ? It will look odd. It is not a good looking machine either.

If it is for touring, we already have bikes. The current range of bikes offer plenty of ground clearance (for off-roading) to say to least. We have taken our pulsars, Karizmas to the top of the world.

This is a mad move from Hero. I don't think this bike going to set sales charts on fire.

I'm amused. Looks pretty good to me. Indian Hypermotard

I'm ready to ride it to office if they price it @ 65K . If it has enough of offroading capabilities.
***Correct me if I am wrong :)

Probably me (i bet many would love dual-purpose bikes)

Feels like Hero is 20-25yrs late on the timing..
This would have been a hit if wolf-cuts were still in fashion...

no chic is gonna like to sit on a silencer.. not atleast in skirt or a dress...requires saari guard on both the sides :P
                          phail imo.

Hero Impulse, its a pretty fresh sight for our indian market, good overall package but still a lot is missing.
                            • look at the headlight, i don't like it, i mean, it is that part of bike, which should be designed with utmost care and it is one the parts that attracts attention. thumbs down for headlight design.
                            • look at the shape of brake pedal, LOL.....like a snake...
                            • exhaust location, they (hero moto corp) did there best to squeeze the exhaust underseat. this concept is fresh in india. so they scored a brownie point. but they somehow couldn't figure out how to put-exhaust, tail lamp & rear wheel mudguard flap all together under seat- thats the reason probable-why exhaust slipped to one side.
                            • front number plate is again located at the worst possible location, further spoiling the look.
                            • tyres-- are they providing CEAT as OEM tyres. well .... what to say...least they could have provided MRF. i mean this is no commuter bike.
                            • ever since pulsar launched their analog tacho left side and digital speedo right side type of instrument console, indian bike manufacturers are simply stuck there, can't they think of any other layout/design. as if this is the coolest one possible. i hope it is not backlit orange.
                            • check out the quality of exposed welds near brake pedal. uff.
                            • i think the oil filler cap is at a slightly odd place and it will be slightly difficult to pour oil directly from bottle.
                            • tourer style space behind grab rails for luggage. great idea. but are they launching matching accessories??
                            • as far as driving to office is concerened, i will not. but yes if launched with more CC and power, i might purchase it for touring.

well, i think i have written too much negative about this bike, but it should be taken as healthy criticism, still a very good product, out of the box thinking.

this bike will not be a success story but might not be a total flop, as there are still a lot of roads in india, for which this bike may be best suited.

somehow i couldn't stop thinking about - what happened to hero honda sleek.

The Impulse looks to be a good SECOND bike..

                              Pricing would make a difference.
