Just in case you're wondering how I know this...well, I have done the same. I was expecting my 2011 650R in November, 2011. You're expecting delivery in Feb, 2012, so as it is, you're waiting quite a few months more anyway.
As for when it'll be available, Bajaj is not saying a thing. But I reckon it should be here by the next financial year. So if you've got the patience to wait for around 6 months...hang on for the 2012 version.
Pricing...expect it to be more expensive, but not by a lot.

The tachometer is a welcome addition, however loosing the single seat and also gaining extra weight is not good at all
Keeping the power at the same figure, isn't the increase in weight a step behind? The additional weight is not even for ABS... so thats added waste!Comment

Exactly my thoughts, but they're said to do some tuning for more low end and mid range torque. The biggest culprit is the environmental aids put in it. I so loved the 2011 edition. It had a character: that all digital console, those double tone looks, that performance, those twin headlights w/ pilot lamps, etc, etc.
Now, since I missed its booking, I'll have to get one maybe second hand... since no one is transferring their booking in Jaipur PBk.---
