I so loved the 2011 edition. It had a character: that all digital console, those double tone looks, that performance, those twin headlights w/ pilot lamps, etc, etc.
Now, since I missed its booking, I'll have to get one maybe second hand... since no one is transferring their booking in Jaipur PBk.
I should be getting one hopefully this month.. Let me know if you are interested.. :-)

Where are you located? I wish to get a booking transferred from Jaipur-Rajasthan Pbk, otherwise an inter-showroom transfer of booking might not be easy/ possible...

          Another interesting feature...

"Ignition switch is now located at the top of the tank assembly"

Googled it up only to find ZERO images showing it though...

See it closely, near the tank's starting, you should see the key:

            Saw it?

              Thanks!

Nice angle to the shot. It feels like you are sitting on the bike... and coming to that, the tank now looks ugly from this perspective. Looks like the tank got a huge pimple which needs treatment.

I have already booked the N650R months ago and waiting for the delivery by Feb-March 2012.

My Brain is washed by this article. Contacted the PBK and they have no clue about this.

I would like this one over the old one. Is it possible to switch over? 1st of all is it launching in India?

Also can anyone predict the appox cost here in India
What I have got to know from people in Bajaj on the manufacturing side.
It will be in the market/ booking by Feb and first deliveries should happen by March - April.
It will be around Rs 84,000/- more expensive than the current model
I think your booking will get automatically converted to the new model, coz they are already running out of kits since the 2011 model production has stopped.
                Hope this helps
                Cheers

And what about spares for the 2011 model? Will they be able to get spare parts?

The Ducati is a air cooled v/s the liquid cooled engine of the 650.
The Ducati is a sexy naked v/s the faired tourer looks of the 650.

Both features of the 650 cost extra money right?

Is this the only reason the 2012 is still not open for bookings?

The Ducati 795 is my present wall paper Absolute drool material!!

Eagerly waiting to see both the 650 and the 795 in flesh. Hope they give us the pricing details earlier than the proper launch.

It gets so exiting and then the oil companies spoil it for you by declaring a price hike which is like a dooms day for bikers like me who cannot always afford 100 bucks for a liter.

Of course spares will be available. Kawasaki isn't the kind of caompany to ditch old customers. Sales of spare also bring in a considerable revenue so they won't miss out on that front.
