Doesn't look much of a scoop... No pics or concrete details....
It's like me saying "SCOOP! Yamaha is bringing the new FZ (but I don't know how it looks like, when is it coming or if it is an upgrade)"I like 'em Naked
Blah Blah Blah!
Reason is not automatic. Those who choose not to recognise it, can't be conquered by it.

I checked this news out but didn't post it. I remember that someone from the staff told us that a revised Apache is on the cards, but not anytime soon.
So, I'm not sure of this news either. But if it happens, it would be great.
I believe that if you take a 220cc RTR from TVS, it should be able to leave its "immediate segment's Indian competition" behind in performance, handling, weight as well as price.
Because RTR's are known not to carry extra stuff like a heavy half fairing which doesn't even contribute much to aerodynamics like full fairing does.
No offense to any one manufacturer though.---

I really hope the RTR series from now on comes as a proper sports bike-with nice aerodynamics and fairing. It should compliment the engine!Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

A mechanic here told me that people were complaining that they weren't getting enough bang for the buck (from the RTR180ABS that I currently own) and hence TVS will be rolling out this new facelifted variant within 2 months' time. There was also some speculation that it'll have a longer swingarm as compared to its older sibling.Originally posted by payeng View PostIt could be "Hyper Edge" treatment to the Apache RTR 180/180 ABS.
Perhaps we'll get to hear more about this during the Delhi Auto eXpo 2012

if its a another hyperedge treatment then that sucks.
lol why should they have 220cc?Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostI checked this news out but didn't post it. I remember that someone from the staff told us that a revised Apache is on the cards, but not anytime soon.

true the performance, handling, weight part but dont think RTRs are any cheaper than other bikes.
fairing half or full contributes to aerodynamics. no fairing contributes nothing. and have you tried lifting the fairing of a P220 or zma?

The "vibrations" of the Apache RTR is something which is blown out of proportion at xBhp.Originally posted by Jeanie View Postjust remove the damn vibes from passenger footpegs n these bikes will sell more .
I have never come across any normal guy/biker who rejects the Apache RTR becuase of it vibrations.

its not blown out of proportion. a 18yr old guy planning his first bike TDs a honda, a yamaha, a bajaj and tvs. what do you think his opinion on vibes would be? we just get used to our bikes. put a rtr guy in a honda or a honda guy in a rtr or for that matter a old rtr, cbr, pulsar guy in a new rtr, cbr, pulsar or vice versa and they will all go
!
