Vibrations In RTR is common but still the initial and mid torque is the main USP (IMO) for RTRs. I just hope they come out with some big cc engine at least.

Satyamzma, don't take this wrong but, the Fiero has a butter smooth engine and gearbox.. and that was all that it had got.

On the other hand the Apache RTR's got sharp handling (Fiero's had a nervous front end), excitement, a soul, a character.. which according to a hard core biker is more important.

+100 very well said.. I agree apart from vibration and suspension issues ,there's nothing wrong in Apache..

bro,the Hero and Honda loyal customer base(my dad included) would never shift to TVS/Bajaj, how refined they may make their engine... and vise versa... So why compete with them on refinement, rather compete on the performance front, where they already have an upper hand... Big engines and ofcourse a little styling are what we are waiting for irrestective of the refinements....

I have never come across any normal guy/biker who rejects the Apache RTR becuase of it vibrations.
If you lend me your RTR for a day's ride, I admit there is nothing compared to Fun and Vibes will have no impact on me.

But I sure cannot live with those vibes for daily rides on a longer run. My Honest thought about RTRs after a week's usage was "When the hell will I reach home and take my a*s off this thing.... (Which is not the same with Yamaha's 150CCs)

If TVS does not fix the Vibe issue, still they would be loosing their market share to Pulsars and Heros and this will remain as a Fact forever.

So doing 250kmph on a R1 without fairing would be as comfortable as a faired R1 and you would yield better performance cause of loss of weight? what about the drag your body generates as speed increases? at 100kmph it doesnt make much of a difference whether you ride a naked or semi or fully faired bike.. but above 100kmph you will see their benefits.

Yes P180, FZ16, RTR, Discover, Splendour etc etc are all naked bikes. if you call the P180 a faired bike then even a ducati monster, a true blue naked, is a faired bike. lol if it doesnt protect you from the wind it doesnt make any difference whatsoever.

This is going off topic. I shall stop here. Hope this link helps. Motorcycle fairing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ok, very politely I don't want it to turn into an argument/ OT race. At the same time, I don't want wrong info on Xbhp either... So, last fairing message from my side too.

Bikini faired (P180/ A180/ etc.) bikes are all "naked" bikes, sure?? Better see the definition of "quarter fairing" in the link you posted yourself. It says: "A windscreen and minimal fairing extending around the headlight fixed to..."

Drag co-efficient/ Aerodynamic Performance is an index of air resistance of the whole bike, while windblast is just the result of your windscreen... These are 2 different things which are inter-related but not inter-substitutable.

True that full fairing gives an advantage, but try and understand that a half fairing is not always better than a quarter one.
Do you understand how large & flat the fairing of P220 and Karizma is, compared to other Indian bikes? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure aerodynamics.
That's why wind tunnel testing is done because each shape differs in aerodynamics:

The magazine that is providing the so called scoop it self has mentioned that there wont be any major upgrade and still people are speculating like crazy.
These days everyone expects miracles to happen all the time.
