I don't think this is the complete pulsar. They could just be testing the engine and the mechanicals and so they've sent the bikes out with just its basic body parts and not the complete bike. They could have also just thrown on the p135 side indicators on for now so that they could still keep some suspense about the bike. But I'm really disappointed that they did not come up with a new brake lamp design, the present one is quite boring now.

My bad, you are right. Whatever it is, big relief is that finally they are here and very much around the corner.Originally posted by Digital_shubhi View PostNo sir... Pulsar 200 was not having any rear disc brakes. Only P220 has it.
Although this pic looks not much good to me. May be its some Indian KTM bike. As Engine is of KTM.

I like what I see too.Originally posted by eliksir View PostAm i the only one that liked the looks ?
The bikes are heavily masked. Even the side and center body panels have some rexin like fabric stitched on to it..!! New design alloys, and chunky monoshock are welcome changes.
The tank looks humongous and am I looking at a real radiator cover or just a decoy like the FZ. Also I do not see a usual down tube frame... so Trellis Frame..??
Am getting a feeling that the new Pulsar would end up looking better than the KTM 200 Duke..!!

I too believe it would look good in real without any cover.Originally posted by payeng View PostI like what I see too.

That's how ALL the swingarms on ALL desi bikes look like (Including the FZ, Karizma, Current Pulsar, Old R15.. or any other desi bike) with the exception of the R15 V2.0 and KTM 125/200 Duke.Originally posted by raghu_scsa316 View PostUgliest swingarm ever.
Relax, its just the bare feeling that you are finding odd (because the chain cover, rear mud guard is absent on the test bikes).

Finally something concrete to wait for!!!!!!!Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

@payeng: More like the absence of a prominent exhaust that usually gets the attention away from the swing-arm on other bikes.its just the bare feeling that you are finding odd (because the chain cover, rear mud guard is absent on the test bikes).
The shape looks good...but the exhaust, the wheels, the clutch cover and the suspiciously KTM like tank are a put off. I fear for too much being chopshopped off KTM that the pulsar might lose its identity or more importantly, the Duke200 might lose its uniqueness.Last edited by 2strokerama; 11-22-2011, 10:01 PM.

isnt the Pillion foot peg dangerously close to the riders?
anyway disappointed if its a 150cc
i hope they use the KTM engines for the premium & high capacity bikes rather than the daily commuters.
Yep,final product should be having some fiber parts along which make it look beefier.Originally posted by payeng View PostThat's how ALL the swingarms on ALL desi bikes look like (Including the FZ, Karizma, Current Pulsar, Old R15.. or any other desi bike) with the exception of the R15 V2.0 and KTM 125/200 Duke.

Just checked out the 200 Duke. The Design of the Alloys and tank on the Duke and the new Pulsar that is seen in the pics is in fact different..!! The 200 Duke's tank is sharp and edgy, from the spy pics the new Pulsars tank seems to be more smooth and round.Originally posted by 2strokerama View PostThe shape looks good...but the exhaust, the wheels, the clutch cover and the suspiciously KTM like tank are a put off. If the KTM developed engine is being used then Yahoo..!! But surely the production ones won't have the "KTM Racing" engraved on the engine covers.
