Oh yes, even I think that these are leaked by company itself. In fact, I think it holds true for most of the so-called "leaked" pics. It shouldn't be so difficult for a company to hide its product from general viewers until its official launch. Besides, I always wonder how come there's always someone ready with his camera (even if it's a mobile camera) to take such photos. Are there so many bike enthusiasts out there who are always looking to take pics of upcoming bikes?Originally posted by sunilg View Posta bit off-topic, but is it just me who thinks that the 'spy pics' of the new Pulsar have been leaked by Bajaj themselves?
The blog came up yesterday only with these pics....

Is this the Pulsar upgrade for sure ?
Bajaj said that it would be using KTM 'technology' in its new bike and not the KTM 'engine' totally. If Bajaj had put its R&D too in this bike then I doubt it would have only KTM logo on it. Even the test mule would have had Bajaj-KTM or only Bajaj logo.

bike is looking nice to me...
I am sure it will look very muscular and stylish....tank and extensions are giving it a big bike feel....the only thing which is looking a bit awkward is its swing-arm.
coming to the engine part...I am sure it will be 200cc bike because bajaj will not do a mistake of launching a 125cc bike with a premium price tag as they know indian market will not gonno accept a 125cc bike with a tag of around 75k ex showroom....and thats why they will launch it in 200cc version with a tag of 80-85k ex-showroom...
thats what I am feeling....sigpic

Exactly. Drum brakes to me, seem like a sort of cost cutting. Front Disk brakes are an essential I believe, and rear can be compromised to some extent...Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Postbike is looking nice to me...

Maybe they thought, let's leave the rear disc for the Duke 200.
Also, a high revving 125 won't be accepted here. People will take test rides, ride it upto 4 krpm and then, conclude that its not a fun bike for such a high price.
I maintain that it would be a 200cc. Because, it makes perfect sense...---

Bajaj is not a company who skimps on Disc Brakes. EVER. Especially on Pulsars.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostExactly. Drum brakes to me, seem like a sort of cost cutting. Front Disk brakes are an essential I believe, and rear can be compromised to some extent...

Remember.. The classic Pulsar twins were the first bikes ever to sport Disc Brakes as standard. (on the CBZ it was optional).
The first bike (made in India) to sport a rear disc was also a Pulsar (220 DTS-Fi).
I believe that the rear drum Pulsar is a lower capacity one (125-150 range). Surely not the 200.Last edited by antz.bin; 11-23-2011, 07:19 PM.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

as far as rear disk brake is concerned....may be they will make it optional or may be they are just checking the capability of their drum brakes with disk at front...so that they can keep the cost in check...sigpic

Putting a drum brake instead of the disc will save them 2-3k at MOST!! Not worth the trouble for a premium product.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Post+1

ya i agree but i think they will give it as an option to show the ex-showroom price as low as possible....Originally posted by antz.bin View PostPutting a drum brake instead of the disc will save them 2-3k at MOST!! Not worth the trouble for a premium product.sigpic

I always thought that it was the Honda Dazzler to sport a rear disk brake for the first time in India.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostThe first bike (made in India) to sport a rear disc was also a Pulsar (220 DTS-Fi).Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
