        I have bought a stunner for my younger cousin brother, but as all know i own four hero honda- a pleasure(2007,sister), splendor+(2010, father), joy(2001, mine) and an extreme(2011, mine).
        This is our first honda.
        However i was more eager on IGNITOR. But my friend was selling his stunner of only two months old for 50k. For me he sold it for 42k, and since my cousin brother likes stunner so this finalized the deal.
        I do not like it after riding my joy and extreme. But since he is riding it it doesn't matter.

        But i happened to ride the ignitor yesterday and boy was i impressed. Hero had made some useful changes and since i have rode my cousin's stunner i can tell you the difference.
        1. First is the smoothness. Stunner has irritating vibes at handle bar and past 6k rpm it feels very bad, but ignitor is quite smooth.
        2. Stunner makes torque at 6500 rpm but ignitor makes at 5000 rpm and boy it makes a lot of difference.
        3. Gearing is short in stunner and thus engine feels strained post 60 but ignitor has tall gearing and thus doesn't feels out of breath.
        4. While the stunner has an analogue speedo, but ignitor has digital like hunk and feels quite up-market.
        5. The stunner has a front visor quite large but the ignitor has its front fairing cut and thus look good and also the front has air scoops which decreases the visual mass.
        6. Riding height is slightly lower and feels like sitting in the bike rather than on top of bike.

        These are some of difference.
        In bhubaneswar IGNITOR and MASTREO are selling like hot cakes.
        I am seeing more new ignitor and mastreo than stunner and activa.

        And regarding performance bikes wait for one year. Since they have recently split up and honda was restricting them, they are now going for performance bikes from tie-up with EBR.
        Every product will get overhaul.
        Splendor,passion and all commuter bikes will get 110 cc engines and will get vertical engines which will enhance performance and mileage.
        125 cc will get vertical engine and also more power.
        Extreme/hunk/impulse will get new engine with more power and Fi.

        250 cc bikes with EBR is on research.
        We will have to wait some more as they are building a very large R&D center in rajasthan.Presently both EBR and hero engineers are working together at hero R&D in making a 250 cc bikes.

          Yes; there has been major changes in engine part as compared to Stunner.....HM has re-tuned the engine ....check the article in this month Bike India issue...

          Mastero is selling quiet good in numbers and now HM is no 2 in scooter sales displaces TVS....

                      I just had a look at that bike when going out for Dirga Puja Pandal hopping. And I was Late to meet up With friends, so couldn't see that bike properly. From a Quick glance, it lloked similar to TVS Sport (new one), with all the parallel line graphics running all over.

                      What got me surpised, was that guy had this bike, while i was still to hear any news from HERO about the launch of this bike.

                          You thought it is a typical hero honda upgrade as usual it goes in here. But there is a lot of difference in here.
                          The changes are:-
                          1. Vertical engine unlike horizontal engine thus will run more before crank sound comes.
                          2. Power is up to 9 PS and torque also. So will give the much needed performance required.
                          3. Disc brake available.
                          3. Tubeless tyres
                          4. Fuel tank is having scoops which looks better.

                          Gone are days when hero used to do cosmetic upgrades. Usually hero was not doing but forced to do cosmetic upgrades.
                          Honda had a 26% stakes in hero and was thus not allowing any changes to its engine due to their technology sourcing agreement.
                          While most people here thought hero was taking people for granted and HONDA is like a god for people here, but actually HONDA was trying to study the market while sucking money from hero and also tying their hands at back.
                          So hero used to do graphical changes to their bikes to keep the design up to date.
                          Instead of blaming hero for cosmetic upgrade you must know the reason behind it.

                          The reason for HERO separation from honda was because of this major reason.
                          The reason was that:-
                          1. Honda was not allowing hero to change its engine as honda had patent.
                          2. Honda was not allowing hero to set up its own R&D as It had equivalent stake as HERO in the venture and thus was not allowing hero to do anything of its own.
                          3. Honda after setting on its own began to launch series of bikes and didn't give hero technology nor was allowing hero to launch products of its own.
                          4. Moreover honda was forcing hero to use spares from honda and not set up its own vendors.

                          So. HERO on seeing that for its own good it must separate from honda it separated.
                          Now it will go on launching new products and much superior products. Most of the bikes will get technical upgrade and hero will start launching performance bikes by next fiscal year to compete with the best.

                            Yes correctly said; and people and in market news spread that HM only does a cosmetic job nothing else...Hero and Honda Terms are like this only and Hero not able to expand much of the products with latest technology and features...

                              This is just the start, wait and watch when the HULK(hero in india) wakes up.Hulk is docile when in normal mood and changes into a giant on getting provoked.Similarly the HULK of motorcycling was sleeping and has now transformed from Dr. banner to HULK.It will launch products on its own without any pressure from others.Also PRO x is not mentioned in their website but i have seen in showroom and on road. Wait for me to test ride and post here.And also you will be surprised to know that the hybrid scooter LEAP( electric with petrol engine) is already at display in BHUBANESWAR.Now once LEAP launches it will be the most technologically advanced scooter in the country and will prove hero can do on its own.I was surprised to see LEAP in showroom and i inquired about it and sales personnel told that it will be launched by 1st January and is now on display to show the people about the new scooter.
