Everyone has their right to post their opinion.Yes,the small tank is a cause of concern for mileage and its more of a street bike than a tourer. For touring, the CBR ticks all the boxes good mileage, full fairing.

Its OK Shubz, I have seen a lot over these years in xBhp,Originally posted by Shubz View PostGuys Guys - Payeng just made a "matter of factly" statement. Each one have their own likings and dislikings about the Duke.
So the only message that he was trying to convey is - you don't like something, you don't have to buy it.
Many have come and gone.. some add value to the discussion, some truly contribute and some just contribute to the noise factor.
Some don't get it and some don't want to get it.

^^^ Wish I was there in Bangalore, want to own this one, it's haunting me in dreams for about a year now
we had atleast one thread running on this bike on our forum!!
Since, I won't be buying for another six months are so, just out of curiosity, will there be a R version for this? Duke 200 R with trellis frame in orange & slight power bump, perhaps with ABS.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

yeap..forgot, this was discussed few posts back. But if you take the bike on off road with stock tires, it will give you some trouble. After seeing the stock tires on the display bike at PB, I have doubt on how the bike will behave in rainy season especially on concrete surface, I know it is too early to say anything, it's just that, I felt at the first glance. But I loved the console, best in it's class.Originally posted by burninrubbr View PostUnderbelly exhaust, a bit problem in extreme off-roading and water-logged areasLast edited by abhijitkn; 01-28-2012, 11:41 PM.

1 doubt- As Ive read here, the introductory price is only till march or april and it might increase after that. The company claims to give the bike after 90 days and will charge us the amount the bike is worth while taking the delivery. So if we calculate 90 days from 1st feb, we start getting the bikes delivered in may. So everyone has to pay the actual increased amount? Is this 1.17 Lacs (the VFM price) just a gimmick to attract more customers?
Because only a few 100s will be getting the bike at the start itself

No, you will be charged the price that was told you when you booked the bike.Originally posted by harsh_66328 View Post1 doubt- As Ive read here, the introductory price is only till march or april and it might increase after that. That doesn't happen man. When one takes delivery of vehicle, he has to pay the contemporary price.Originally posted by nithinkv View PostNo, you will be charged the price that was told you when you booked the bike.
Some one said back that he got info from probiking that intro price is for only one month. Price will rise on 1st March.

I guess they should charge the introductory, otherwise what's the point. Though it is written in their quotation that money will be according to price that time, may be they meant taxesOriginally posted by nithinkv View PostNo, you will be charged the price that was told you when you booked the bike.
Actually there is too much confusion about it right now !!!

Yes. This happens in almost all the companies. I've heard it from few of my friends who had purchased Royal Enfields. Thats why i had this doubt. People who are planning of booking one, do ask about it with the dealer. Or who knows after a month you might have to pay something around 1.4-1.5lacOriginally posted by lockhrt999 View PostThat doesn't happen man. I see a nice strategic move here taken by KTM
P.S - I can totally be wrong about the whole thing mentioned above. Its only a doubt

Speculations and speculations go on...
Been a while since the specs were out but the speculations haven't ended.
The one currently on air is about its mileage. Nobody know's what the mileage is yet almost all claim its 30kmpl as what the Sales Guy guaranteed them.
All those included in the above, guys almost all showrooms I enquired claimed the R15version2.0 to throw out 22 horses.
Get the hint,people.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

... with a mouth watering price tag which is supposed to be introductory
.. then they said bookings will start a week late and then 90 days for delivery
...above this if they say we need to pay the price with respect to the date of delivery..its too much...
K...Lets b +ve..
I feel Bajaj wont play such tricks on its first wave of customers....

No, it was the R15, about a week before the official launch. They dint know nothing. They were just following the speculations on the internet. However, Pierer's quite candid lack of Marketing Knowledge (or an advanced set of skills, proving beyond mine) might have actually splurged alot of truth about the FE.Originally posted by Rajathslr View PostI think its the Fazer 250 they talking about

Saw the bike yesterday... Its very differantly built... Material quality is top notch... It's a dirt bike with cornering ability...
But...
Very low ground clearance while sitting with pillion... only four fingers horizontaly from ground...
Difficult to survive from potholes...
And the silencer will go deep inside the water in rainy season here in mumbai... Can enjoy rest of the year...
Back seat is for ladies only with casuals....
Pillion will get down as soon as the bike will reach the destination...
Good for short drives...
Just my opinion...
Enjoy...!!!
