    Good to see initial TD reviews pour in. Keep it up guys, you are doing a great service to other probable buyers. Reading all this, I am sure that KTM 200 would fair as the best street bike for city use but not quiet as long distance tourer. For this very reason I would like to wait for Pulsar 200NS to launch and reviewed. It looks much more promising for CommuTourer kinda bikers especially in Indian scenario given its appropriate weight, tank size and FE.

    Finally somehow I feel, the showroom guys accompanying for KTM200's test ride are going to have a very tough time sitting as pillion on that hooligan ... One request, do insist on wearing HELMET for both rider and the pillion ... Accidents are waiting to happen !

      My impressions.
      It lacks torque, specially at the lower revs.
      Very free revving.
      The engine note is not awesome, but its decent enough.

      Not very touring friendly - which was almost a big deal breaker.
      a. Plastic tank - no tank bag.
      b. The indicators are positioned in such a way that i cannot have a pillion and the saddle bags together.

      Thought about it..
      Booked it. Just like that

      The 220 stays on for heavy duty touring. The KTM is simply not a replacement for it - but an add on element of fun biking.

                    had booked my baby duke also yesterday.
                    i have seen the rumor of some 10 bikes per outlet to be delivered early on the net.
                    let's keep the fingers crossed that we get some good riding before monsoon......

                        Thank you man. Lets see how long it is going to be Going by the guys at KTM store, we can expect it in a month or so I guess. They said it might take one 1-3 months. And the first lot is going to deliver 150 units

                          They told me the same .... First 150 guys willl get the delivery around the same time ....what was your booking number...

                          They keep on saying that 90 days ......I hope it comes before rains in bangalore ....

                          There was huge crowd in bangalore on the first day .... There are lots of KTM fans in bangalore .....

                            Mine is 132. Hope those are true numbers. Heard elsewhere that Bangalore piled up 175 bookings on day 1. I have my doubts about that though.
