Even if the rear tyre hugger doesn't affect the buying pattern then the monoshock suspension will surely attract buyers

The bike looks pretty good for the 125cc segment with all the new features. Can we expect a similar treatment for existing pulsar range???

Don't like the split rear hugger..? No probs, remove it.

No one is holding a gun to the head saying that one can't remove it One just needs to loosen two bolts on the P135LS to remove a similar hugger.

          My 2 cents...
          - The technology is superior than anyone currently offering in India on this segment
          - Even if priced at Shine (believe this is the highest priced 125cc) this might lead the 125cc segment
          - Graphics could've been better to out-stand as all 125cc appear the same to me; that said, this is far far excellent in looks than the present Discover. Nice work has gone in styling though.
          - Like plasmabhai says, the rear tire hugger things could've been avoided with a simple plain fenner unless BAL is trying to bring sporty elements into family styled motorcycling.

All said, this a more than an excellent package that can find hardly anything missing or any regular commuter can ask for. If it provides a FE anywhere around 55 Kmpl in real time, this is a more than perfect commuter (even for long distance) that one can ask for. Just a wish though, with a 60/55 headlamps & FI (even if its priced little higher) the entire competition is blown away to dust. And I hope the cost of spares & service levels are at par with what BAL is currently offering.

BTW, it would be interesting to see 135LS in the charts as it seems more appropriate; this seems to be 10cc less version of it of 135LS; also good to know if anyone has bore X stroke size.

Mono Nitro shock absorber for a 125cc . None can give marketing spark like Bajaj

            High-Beams Off And
Only Headphones I need is my Exhaust!!

Overall, a handsome bike. Nice proportion. Only eyesore for me, is the rear fender and would described as ugly. The rest is all thumbsup. Oh! the tyre hugger is non-issue as they can be removed with least fuss.

Premium buyers are getting to know monoshocks. However for those buyers who wants a basic commuter bike. The monoshock is, I believe look upon differently. They see it as cost cutting job by installing ONLY one shocks . Its a design that is relatively new in our country for the mass market. Once they see the actual benefits, perspective will change.

That right there is the best steal !
I never thought Bajaj after tying up with the west - KTM were still keen to copy the east-Suzuki !!!
The new Bajaj Discover and Suzuki GS150 are so identical....but I know who got their designs first

Discovers are being launched every season, still Bajaj has no long term winner, no doubt this bike will sell well for first three months and by that time they will come up with another Discover or Pulsar to compete with this bike when sales number goes down...this has happened countless times....

This change is better than that of Hero Moto of which you are a fanboy as they only change graphics and color scheme.
                          :) :D

Just went through the press news once again & some of the points that caught my attention were...

The new Discover Sports Tourer (ST) is all set to change this in a dramatic fashion
When I Googled for "what defines a sports tourer motorbike", I got the following from wiki "A Sport touring motorcycle is a type of motorcycle that blends the performance of a sport bike with the long-distance capabilities of a touring motorcycle, while providing comfort and relative safety to the rider"

while going through this - Selecting A Touring Motorcycle, I found most of the points are applicable except the wind shield, one of the important aspect. However, the same points may be applicable for a street bike as well. Wondering what classifies D125 as sports tourer? Petal disc? Dual rear huggers? Wacky Alloy wheels? Delicate ribbed alloy wheels?

                            An aggressive fairing
This is the most baffling statement!!! Where's the fairing?

And this one, where I'm wondering how the safety aspects are found in Petals & not with regular ones

Note - From my past experience, I know very well that fanboys roar back with defense. But let me clarify, these are just genuine questions for which I'm seeking answers. Would really appreciate on a healthy discussion with an open mind.

Only thing bad is they named as Sports Tourer... Why that..!

Other than that, console and brake light looks good.

                              Looking forward to its pricing.

@Mods, who where there at the launch, got any idea when 200NS hit showrooms?
Zigwheels reported Display bikes in MH by may end and rest of the country by JULY ! ! ! ! Is that true?
Yes u can expect it in MH by May end and Rest of the country by June end...Info from dealers

                                You need to relax.
Karizma had a R suffix. Was it a race bike?
Enfield Bullet, does it goes like a bullet?
                                P220 is India's no.1 sportsbike, does it beat a YZF R15 on a track?
Pulsar 135 Light Sports and Pulsar 200 Naked Sports, do they have any fairings?

So calling this a Sport Tourer is within the limits.

                                Chalta hain!
