    >> In Australia, Canada, UK and probably US the Ninja 300 will replace the Ninja 250

P.S: Its Ninja 250/300 and the "R" tag has been dropped. Good this as the "R" tag is being abused too much these days

    A little heads up here?

R15 vs CBR 250R again? Hmm...C150R & R15 would've been more appropriate, but C250R & R15, with difference in technology, price would also matter in a cost conscious market isn't it?

Would be an interesting exercise to find out on the numbers of C250R. Meanwhile, came across this for now & will continue finding more

          Why not both?

I'm stumped as to why it doesn't make sense for Bajaj to launch both 250 and 300 variant?
          My logic:

          1) Currently Bajaj imports the ninja via the CKD mode and assembles it here. As both the 250 & 300 are almost the same, it, IMO, should not be too difficult for Bajaj to assemble both of them here.

          2) There is a market here for the 300 even at the 4-4.5L range as the ER6F is more of a sports-tourer and cannot be compared to the 300. I assume that ZX6R (which would be a natural upgrade from the 300 should it be available in India) would be above 7L. I'm not considering the Hyosungs here.

          3) Bajaj would not be jeopardising its own plans for Pulsar SS/KTM350 as these bikes would be manufactured in India and would cost way lesser than both 250 & 300. I'm sure there is a huge market in India who would love to own the pulsar and KTM especially for their "value for money" tag.

So all in all, the ninja can be sectioned in a niche category (which it already is thanks to the price tag) while the pulsars and the KTMs can be for the rest.

So once the Pulsar SS, and KTM 350 is launche at a price lesser than Ninja 250, there will be hardly any buyers for it. So Ninja 300 only makes sense to me.

What if both Pulsar and Duke with their 350/375cc engines end up with a power output mightily close / more than even the 300cc Ninja?
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Going by the power to CC ratio of the KTM 200, the KTM 375 should make 46.875 bhp. It will be a torque monster.

And thats the reason they should now start making Ninja 400 right here in India !!

May i know why Aargee has given a chart of Australia sales of CBR and Ninja??? to prove his point against MG, Aargee are you kidding me?

With due respects sir, we live in INDIA and not Australia, i would be concern with Indian reports, its like marrying a blonde when you were searching for a brunette. ROTFLMFAO

Forget about the sales numbers, but a ride of the CBR250R and Ninja 250R back to back makes it very clear that the Ninja 250R feels a level higher.

The Ninja 300 with more power and torque (+ a slipper clutch and ABS) would only take the ride feel to a higher level. For the folks in developed markets of Australia, Canada, UK and the US addition of the Slipper Clutch and ABS should convince them to not to let go of Green.

For India its the price tag which matters more.

FYI the US and Australia markets till now (2012) the Ninja 250R is/was "Carburetted" not even Fuel Injected..!!

The addition of Fuel Injection, Slipper Clutch, ABS, extra Power and Torque in the Ninja 300 should convince the bikers in developed markets not to let go of Green.

Upon that math Duke 690 should make 80+ bhp but ends up making 69bhp and that too with a higher compression ratio. Higher cc translates to a lesser revving engine.
But the ktm'll be pretty close to the ninja in terms of power figures but still very different bikes but'll carry price benefits.

Well, I am assuming here that whatever bikes of KTM brand and higher cc pulsars that will be launched by Bajaj, will be a NAKED bike (seems to be the new trend in India), where-as Ninja will be a Fully faired bike, which have another level of fan following here in India(me included).

I agree that the price of the KTM 375/Pulsar 350 would be similar to/lower than the Ninja 300, but the faired friendly masses wont mind paying the premium.
