Considering the OTR price gap between the CBR150R & CBR250R, i just assumed that if at all Honda launches CB400, it should be around 2 Lakhs.. & for CBR400R 2+ Lakhs...Originally posted by blizviz View PostThe price will not be lower than 2 Lakhs, as the speculated price in Thailand (supposed country of manufacture) itself is 200,000 Bahts. That translates to approximately 3.5 Lakhs. Tough luck buddy
.
Also i get a feeling that the naked model shown in the pics resemble closely to NC700S.....

CB400 for 2lacs
Some wet dream eh? It's a Honda my friend. However, a CBR400RR with 40-45BHP for 3.5lacs would be a great deal considering Ninja 300 that'll be even costlier. I will be happy with a 35-40BHP sports machine whether Honda or Kawasaki since there are few places where I'll be able to utilize even 40 Japanese BHP.

No buddy... I do agree to somepoint that honda preminum models are lil over priced..... I am being a little optimistic here.. Since there are two products, CBR400RR model will be expensive than the CB 400...Originally posted by The One View PostCB400 for 2lacs

Also there is no reason for Honda to price CBR400RR @ 3.5 Lakhs (If made in India) even though it is a twin cylinder... Expect it to be around 2.5 Lakhs OTR, since they will try to localize most of the parts as they did it CBR250R.
If you have seen the naked bike pic (CB X00), they seem to have only one large disk brake.. Must be in the same lines as CBR250R... Which suggests that there might be parts sharing to keep the costs down...
in the other picture the bike with the fairing (CBR X00R/RR), may have double disc brake for front...

A little too optimistic! Thailand is already the biggest production base of Honda. If they manufacture it there at 3.5 Lakhs (speculated price), I find it hard to see how they can bring it down to 2.5 Lakhs if produced in India!Originally posted by elangoas View PostNo buddy... Anyway, all these discussions are fruitless until Honda actually comes out in the open about those bikes. It will surely take another 5-6 months at least.

For the CB 400 naked version, the power will be less than the CBR400R.. Around 35 HP. Should be a steal if launched in india for less than 2 Lakhs OTR....... This thread is so full of speculations, the thread started with a title about CBR500 and now we are discussing CBR400.
anybody know for sure whether it is 400 or 500.... ???
even if this 400/500 is launched in india and made in india, it will not be less than 2.5 lakhs (non-ABS)
it may be between 2.5 to 3.5 lakhs.

Blind guess that it will be a 400... They already have 125R, 150R, 250R, CBR 600F, CBR 600 RR , CB 1000R & CBR 1000 RR... In this chain, only a 400 is missing...inbetween 250 & 600 that will fit the new learner license for europe which comes into effect from 2013.Originally posted by princesirohi View PostThis thread is so full of speculations, the thread started with a title about CBR500 and now we are discussing CBR400.

If it is a 500, then i am sure atleast the naked model is going to be in the lines of NC700.
An other point is that Kawasaki Ninja jut upgraded itz 250 to 300... An indication that it will compete with Honda in the middle 250 & 400...
Note : All these are my assumptions only...

I so hope that Honda gets the CBR400RR to India with a reasonable pricetag. Would love to own one or else there's the Ninja 300.Originally posted by elangoas View PostBlind guess that it will be a 400...
