The bike looks nice with those two angel eyes..
500 cc with 47 bhp is going to be nice.. It can work as a good separator between N300 and n650 r depending upon the price. Waiting for it..

It's the bike that has smaller proportions. Small is the latest trend and even the Europeans are following it. Check out Panigale...absolutely miniscule proportions. BTW...dont you think that the trend starter was Honda with the RCV? Mass Centralization at its best.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

For evolved markets Small is definitely in but for markets like India which have just been exposed to motorcycles, being VISUALLY BIG (like the bollywood heroines from the 60's-80's) even if its just unnecessary fat, is still an object of lust.. a sign of being "well fed".

Will not get into design intricacies. But there is a certain golden ratio of vertical to horizontal in vehicle styling. A height needs a certain width to create an impact. I think the small frontal area was ushered in by Massimo Tamburini's Ducati 916,998.
The less number of cylinders make bikes slimmer and slimmer by the day.

Each of these new 500cc Hondas are probably meant to be economical, fast & quick commuters in their target countries while also being capable weekend fun rides for not-so-long distances. Hence, it's appropriate to make them small as these will be fantastic in moderate traffic. However, in our holy land anything above 200/250cc would be considered a great option for high-speed and ultra long distance touring. Having said that, either of these if and when launched in India shall be massive hits among long distance riders. Even on our fastest highways, the quickness and the top end of these 500cc motorcycles shall be quite enjoyable.
