  • KTM Duke 390, 200 and 125 get ABS: xBhp News

Source: KTM 200 Duke ABS 2013 - Highlights

I went to KTM's website and guess what I found ? The page now says "KTM 200 DUKE ABS 2013: A POWERFUL APPEARANCE". I suppose since they need to mass produce ABS systems for the 390 Duke they've decided to upgrade the 200 Duke with ABS as well. Great news indeed

BTW, color option seems limited to Orange and White. Regular 200 Duke is available in Orange, Black and White.

I'm not sure if or when it'll launch in India though, but lets pray that its not too expensive compared to the existing bike

EDIT: 125 Duke also gets ABS

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Atlast! a worthy upgrade to the P220! my only qualms, the puny tank and lack of projector lamps. If they provide a wind shield as accessory that would be icing on the cake..

I don't think so that the ABS Version will make it to INDIA - I think only TVS has the Proprietary Rights to use ABS under 250CC Bikes in INDIA .

TVS will have proprietary rights to use ABS developed by them. That doesn't mean other companies can't offer their own ABS!! Just wish KTM offers it in India too.

Does that mean TVS can choose to supply their braking system to any vendor?

That only includes the kind of system developed by TVS, not those by other companies. Other companies can sell their ABS equipped rides below 250 cc.

I am surprised no one asked this question yet, so here goes:

If ABS is confirmed for the 2013 models, will Bajaj-KTM offer upgrade kits for existing Duke 200s ? I, for one, am excited by the prospect of ABS and am a Duke owner.
