  • But honestly I am quite puzzled and depressed about the scenario.

We are missing a Fuel injected naked vehicle in 150 cc category and this is quite untapped.
Every manufacturer is competing themselves with their own brand in the 150 cc category.

Quite frustrating. Basically this is a mix and match of some other vehicles.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

      • It looks more than OK to me..though nothing mouth watering..but I am assuming that its looks will grow on customers as most other Honda bikes..If priced sensibly, this bike can sell in good numbers..better than dazzler!!

tail light is inspired from discover st, tank shape is a mix of sz or fz curves with unicorn's pot belly, light is bigger version of dazzler, speedo is inspired from ninja 650r(I am not sure), engine...huh..everybody knows....

I think this is my only post that you have seen recently!

That is definitely pronounced in a dual tone.

In my opinion , no product by Honda (excluding CBUs) is not as well engineered or built as R15. I used to say this loudly whenever possible
In india India Honda can even sell Rotten Oranges , just with a Honda label. Our people are just that blind believers of brand.
I cannot find any other reason for selling some of their bikes.
This is just my thought about their stuff made in India for Indians.

            • Contrary to what we and the world expected, Honda unveiled a modified version of the CB Dazzler, the CB Trigger in India. It borrows it’s design elements from the Dazzler and also bears resemblance to Yamaha’s SZ series. At the front, there is a bikini fairing with a cowl resting on top. Honda has added a sculpted fuel tank with fake air scoops, similar to the one on the Dazzler. The meter console has the usual fare - speedo, odo, tachometer, clock and fuel gauge with an amber backlit theme.Honda has finished the cycle parts and engine of the Trigger in black as also the 6-spoke alloy wheels. The taillight is a stepped LED unit. The CB Trigger is powered by the same 149.1cc carburetted air-cooled engine from the Unicorn and erstwhile Dazzler. It makes 14PS of power and 12.5Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Honda claims that the Trigger will deliver a fuel efficiency of 60kmpl and have a realistic top speed of 103kmph. There are disc brakes both at the front and rear and out of the three variants on offer - Standard (front disc/rear drum), Deluxe (front/rear discs) and CBS, the third one gets Honda's Combined Braking System.
Prices for the CB Trigger haven’t been announced yet, however knowing Honda’s premium pricing policy, we expect the motorcycle to be priced around the Rs 78,000 mark. Honda will launch the Trigger in April and deliveries will start in May this year.
Source overdrive.in ....top speed is only 103...????????

Seems you got completely wrong perception. Except R15 V1 and V2, other Yamaha products are not as good as Honda products in quality. How much ever you say 'rotten oranges' about Honda products, they have been proving mangoes for the mango people. Manufacturers don't do research on forums; they do market research and design the products.

                • A big disappointment by Honda....once again...!!!

Why i feel that HMSI lacks conviction in Indian market?? When companies like Bajaj and TVS are pushing the horizons ahead, HMSI always takes a defensive stance. Honda could have atleast one flagship bike in 150cc segment which can stand apart, which can compete against the R15s and the Pulsers...After all the hype of "CB150R" i thought finally Honda is waking up...but this is truly disappointing...
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

                  • hahaha .....
hmsi must be enjoying the surprise they have given us
statistically they just had to replace the dying dazzler.
looks are subjective and i personally found dazzler compact and good looking. can't say the same about this trigger. looks bulky for a 150 cc engine. maybe will be okay to look at when seen in real flesh. wish they launched a few more colors.
don't know if i should compare it with discover 125ST whose engine too is much refined than previous bajaj bikes.

                        Can't agree. Not even remotely

Even if the pure commuter models might not sell well, all Yamaha models that I have seen, touched, felt, ridden have been very well engineered ones.

Honda has already raised the bar with the made in India CBR250R (Ok the Quality is still not that great.. but still).

With the CB Trigger they are just trying to upgrade the Dazzler.. and I see no wrong with that probably they just went wrong by not calling it the 2013 Dazzler.

I am not calling there product as oranges but, saying that they can even sell that.
When I cross checked, R15 V2 and CBR 150R , I found that though cheaper R15 is better built.
I am not expecting Honda to come to forums and take inputs, There goal in India is any way to sell more not build product as per enthusiasts' fancy.
There are other companies who pays more attention at that end of the business.

As far as there is enough sales for a product a regular market research will not tell manufacturer what others are talking.
This very nature of mass market driven, nothing for enthusiast approach is not good enough for a non brand addicted customer to pickup a product.
Good to learn that Honda is not interested in checking what enthusiasts are talking about their products.
