Hey guys! I've not bee active on xbhp due to some personal issues... but I've been googling around
. So here's some news.
New set of Bajaj Pulsar SS 200 Images comes our way! - Motoroids.com
Bajaj Pulsar 200SS Reveals Fairing in Latest Spy Images - Indian Cars Bikes
I'm not gonna beg to the mods anymore. But I must say they're not doing the right thing by not allowing a separate thread for the 200SS, even with so many spy pics and we're so close to the launch. There are threads for bikes that are not even confirmed! Are you listening Sunny MG ?

@Rakesh Rok
, ok saw these pics the other day, must say I was really impressed by the latest pics. . . The only one thing that's bothering me is the pricing, if it's above 1.2-1.3 lac, it will be a pain on my @**, so I gotta save up as much as I can from now on, else I would be best of living with a NS, . .
PS: Wanna know after this bike's launch, gotta see few things like foot rest for ladies to sit (will be taking my mom at least once in a week), good mileage, expecting minimum of 40-45 and not to forget pricing, if all the three are well and good, then I am gonna speak at home, sell my unicorn and go for this, else if it's for NS then Unicorn will be staying with me
. . .
Cheers!!!

Saw this on Zigwheels New Bajaj Discover 150F in the pipeline| ZigWheels.com
Don't understand why Bajaj had to discontinue Discover 150 if they were going to launch updated 150F/150. This will only lead to confusion in buyer's mind as to the product is going to stay in the market or not.. coz that is going to affect resale value of the product. It's important to maintain consistency in product line under the Discover brand.
Another problematic thing I see is, right now all the new Discovers got 4-valve engines and one of them even got monoshock suspension. So, it looks as if Discover is the technologically superior brand when you compare with Pulsar. Bajaj should quickly update Pulsar line of bikes so that they all are superior both technologically & performance wise when compared to Discover series. You can't afford to look like seemingly commuterish brand Discover is technologically superior to brand Pulsar. Especially 135LS/150/180 need to be upgraded to make them superior to Discover brand bikes.Last edited by vrugonnab; 04-10-2014, 02:27 AM.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

Bajaj has already created heck of a doubt in the minds of the customers in the market by providing the various variants of the same model to the customers.
About Discover being more technologically sound than the Bajaj's Pulsar range....I would like to quote...may be Bajaj is into the stock clearing mode for its outgoing Pulsar Range...which they taken a step for it by providing the Pulsar in new color schemes (P150...P180...and may be P220 too)...

Somehow, I don't think it is a stock clearance move. I also don't think Bajaj will update 150/180/220. They might bring in a new P160 to ward off competition to current 150 from the new crop of 150cc bikes.Originally posted by Rajat Bhanti View PostBajaj has already created heck of a doubt in the minds of the customers in the market by providing the various variants of the same model to the customers.

But, I think Bajaj should at least update 220 with a 4-valve head or if possible give it a perimeter frame, after all it's a good bike and has sold pretty well. Why try to kill it deliberately?Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

There is a very valid reason behind Bajaj updating its current lot of Pulsar to its 4 valve tech, because they have already offered 4 valve into its younger sibling P135 and even 4 valve tech is now in Discover range too. So, there is no reason behind Bajaj not updating its models.
Another reason behind Bajaj put those new colour scheme in order to clear up there current stock of P150 n 180, which is what we have already seen few NS with some features for P150 and P180 (Features such as providing smaller disk brakes and some weird looking rear mud guards, which we all saw in some Spy Shots)

Rajnikanth, be scared, be very scared! Your record of counting twice to infinity is under serious thread by the launch count of Bajaj bike models. Seriously, Bajaj drops bikes, other than pulsar brand, faster than the blink of an eye. So, now discover 150 is being dropped, the support for its spare parts will be mountain to climb for its owners.Bajaj Boxer : 2002-09
Suzuki Samurai: 2003-04 (Used)
Bajaj XCD: 2009-10
Bajaj Caliber: 2010- (Used)

Discover 150 has been discontinued for almost an year now! same happens i.e. spare parts climbing mountain when Honda drops a Dazzler.. or any other manufacturer discontinues a model, so chill.Originally posted by Prabhanjan View PostRajnikanth, be scared, be very scared! It never happens in case of Bajaj. I still get spares of 11 year old Pulsar 180 and 6 yrs old Pulsar 200 off the shelf. Never had to wait for any part.Originally posted by Prabhanjan View PostRajnikanth, be scared, be very scared! Re: Bajaj Auto plans 6 Discovers, 2 Pulsars for 2014: xBhp News
The last time I went for service to a Bajaj showroom service, the Discover 150 was still there and the post that I read here that it is discontinued is the first time I know it had been discontinued. Also, though XCD 125 production stopped in 2008 itself, it was not until the later half of 2009, Bajaj declared that it had discontinued it. Same with Platina 125 and many others too. TBH, I did not read anywhere that Bajaj had discontinued D150. This may be true about other manufacturers too. Does it mean Bajaj is right in declaring discontinuing a good time later?Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostDid you wake up just now? I had said that except Pulsar brand, most other bike spare parts suffer a lot. Whenever the odometer cable of my Caliber goes kaput, the BASS substitutes with Pulsar odometer which goes off after a mer 100kms. It is only after shifting to local service center, that I am getting reliable parts replacement.Originally posted by riot View PostIt never happens in case of Bajaj. Re: Bajaj Auto plans 6 Discovers, 2 Pulsars for 2014: xBhp News
Dealers having unsold pieces of a discontinued bike is pretty common. For example Dazzler is officially discontinued, but I'm sure some or the other Honda dealer will still have couple of these bikes in his showroom. Hero Achiever was available for a lot of time with dealers.Originally posted by Prabhanjan View PostThe last time I went for service to a Bajaj showroom service, the Discover 150 was still there and the post that I read here that it is discontinued is the first time I know it had been discontinued.
