This one looks cool and retro. I like the styling and the wheels but not sure about how much of a racer it can be with that UCE engine they have. Agree the lighter flywheel will make it rev more but I guess not by much. May be it will top out at 130 if there are no vibes.

But what's with the mirror, I hope it will not come out like that ..

Slap a fairing into a splendor....many would call it an sbk,at least thats what I see....
This is the best thing to come from RE for india..period!

this is not a commuter or anything..
for a fast trip or simply the sake of fun..
'hunked up splendor" !! i don't think so.. the RE has way bigger size than the splendor and the continental GT has nearly the same size..
such different and exotic rides should be welcomed, not shunned..
i'm sure there will be many takers of this one.. i surely will be one when i have the capability

          Ride safe and have fun.

here is a picture of this bike showing 3 different type of seats....
Everything is fine about this bike, and it shouldn't be shunned. However, with RE's the power figures are quite mythical. The weight of the bike and the way it is made, seem to negate the power advantage it has.

However, I am quite positive with Cafe Racer, and am sure it will be fun to ride than previous bulls with lightened flywheel, more power, less weight, toe shifter for the Gear etc.

what's wrong is that comparison of other REs into the cafe racer discussion

cafe racers are a different breed altogether and if you see the quality in pics as well as the attempt to reach to the mentioned power figures than it will more than satisfy the enthusiasts

the name racer does not literally mean "A racing Bike"

Chill guys, this may munch miles but doesn't look like a tourer though it doesn't mean one cannot tour on this bike. But it's more of a bigger bike with some style which one can use in city commute as well as for small tours. Provides bike lovers with one more choice of model.

Historically, Cafe Racers were used by tomboys to race on abandoned highways across Europe and the United States. There used to be 1-2 cafe joints lining these highways, miles apart and these racers used to take their Cafe Racers and munch the miles racing to the next cafe shop.

Correct me if Im wrong. But this is a fairly accurate picture of the history of the motorcyle.
