Re: KTM RC 200 & 390 Launch, on 9 September, 2014, deliveries from October: xBhp News
RC390, indicated top speed 179km/h. Hits rev limiter in 6th gear.
Not sure if the exhuast is stock/Akra, but it seems to accelerate better than Duke at speed>140 (as expected).
PS On hearing closely, I think it is the stock exhaust.Last edited by pcgamer; 09-01-2014, 07:11 PM.

Service training for South India happened today in Bangalore for the RC twins. Bike uses mercury projectors and supposedly the bikes for training didn't have DRL's. The small LED lights works as park light. The indicators are on the mirrors and not on the fairing as some of them had on spy pics. Top speed is a maximum 180kmph depending on various conditions.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Since there aren't any mechanical changes, it should be the same as Duke 200. Rev limiter at 138 km/h.Originally posted by Jitu Badlani View PostWhat about performance of 200?

sorry, RC390 was the only bike present there as far as I saw. All the duke 200 2014 models had some head light issues and that is being taken care of. The new duke 200's has very minimal issues compared to those when launched 2 years ago. Expect the RC200 to be trouble free.Originally posted by Jitu Badlani View PostWhat about performance of 200?

I so wish they increase that limit to 150 atleast!!Originally posted by pcgamer View PostSince there aren't any mechanical changes, it should be the same as Duke 200. Rev limiter at 138 km/h.
Well KTM is seriously working hard to iron out all the issues that the former batches experienced!!! Really a good thing for potential buyers!!Originally posted by Ivin View Postsorry, RC390 was the only bike present there as far as I saw. Any major difference in RC390 engine department or just mapping difference from D390??

One of my colleagues had bought the Duke 2 months back. Till now, no electrical problems whatsoever. Bike is running fine.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

I just sat on it. Nothing more. Handlebar is little more downwards than R15. I dont know the pricing, But I guess its easy to figure out and its on par with what most of the auto websites had said.Originally posted by Jitu Badlani View PostDid you or any of your source tried to have a feel of ergonomics of bike. & any hints of pricing?

And the first ride report is up by Visordown!!!
The riding position is a bit more upright than the RC 390's aggressive styling might suggest. The 'clip-on' bars aren't really clip-ons at all. Instead of being mounted on the forks, they bolt onto the forged aluminium top yoke. It makes for a sporty but comfortable riding position and also helps give the RC 390 a much more generous steering lock than typical of sports bikes.

I hope such issues aren't seen on all bikes:
"There's room for improvement. A fairing panel on mine made an annoying rattle at tick-over. The mirrors are big but on arms too short, so you can't see what's behind you, and the right-hand one kept vibrating itself into a new position. That didn't happen to the last Thai-built CBR500R I tested."
