Ok, got your point clearly. Although, I'm not sure if Bajaj Auto will agree. Bajaj were the ones, who discontinued P200, sometime before the P220S was released with almost same looks, cost and a 220 cc engine.

So, if they need a 300cc engine, they'll either have to work on existing engine or get a new one. If they can make a 300cc reliable engine in the meantime or get one from KTM stables, go ahead is what I would say.
A re-bored bike (for a bigger engine) like Ninja 300 has a better engine to carry almost the same amount of weight, and can be relaxed, and is better in most ways as long as its reliable enough. If KTM have a ready 250 engine to be rebored to 300, and enough testing time, then they should do it.

Reg. making the 373cc a 300cc, I don't get good feelings from this thought itself. I remember how Ninja 650R was changed only engine-wise, to make it a Ninja 400R, just to get a measly 40~ bhp bike weighing 203 kgs, a non rev-happy engine & the same old parts & looks. And that too with the same manufacturing & maintenance cost (just 14% cheaper price) as a quite bigger 650R.

So, what did Kawasaki achieve by "filling this segment" of 400cc? Just license legality for some markets? Would we like a 400R in India at price of a 650R?
My humble belief is that they should just make a good bike, and not just fill segments.

BTW all this is just a discussion... Who knows what Bajaj have up their sleeve?

This is the advantage of having a mature R&D.. and who said Bajaj has to look for KTM for a new engine? As long as Mr. Bajaj feels there is a gap that can be plugged, he can get products / models to bridge it.

I would absolutely love it if a 300NS (naked) with the engine, chassis and styling derived from the new Big Pulsar platform makes it.

The 200 cc Full Faired is pure speculation as of now.. and so is the 300 cc (my speculation).

infact, i wont mind if Mr. Baja comes with a 300CC Cruiser with sweet exhaust sound(which looks hile unlikely though). that will post a challenge to RE, Hyosung GV250 and other cruisers in India...

Very interesting news. I think it will be the 180cc and the 375cc. The smaller will take care of the Yamaha YZF R15 and the big one should take care of CBR.
Bajaj are playing the cc game. More cc in less price than competition.

Will these 300 or 375cc models can compete with Yamaha and Honda's Trust and Build quality ? My concern is that only.

It seems only time will tell how many CC's would be given to these 2 upcoming super sports. Lets hope they are not just adding a full body fairing and naming it a SuperSport but seriously focusing on the track focused performance and handling too.

Only owners of 200NS know it can. Infact, including NS what the new Pulsars will offer customers is the same (if not better) durability at a cheaper cost.
