Guys today i had gone to the bajaj showroom in our city (Sitaram Bajaj Thrissur) to get details regarding pulsar 135 ls as my brother is thinking of getting one and replace our old trusty war horse caliber 115 but i was shocked to see and hear their response They informed me that they hadn't got any dispatch of p135 stock since 2011 and the lady i met there wasnt even aware of 2012-2013 speedlines model. They said they had stopped taking dispatches as many units were prone to engine complaints and other issues and the demand is too low for it and they will only bring in stock according to order only They also told me that demand was more for pulsar 150/180 and even tried to put it on me.Similar kind of experience happened to my brother at cochin based showroom when he had tried to enquire about the p135 and he was also told that dispatch numbers were also too low and had only 3-4 pulsar 135ls only.He was asked to take the 150 /180 instead as well as the newly launched d125t and d125st instead So questions that are in my mind are
1.why do the say that p135 is not in stock and only comes on special order and why do they say it had many problems when it is still far better in every respect when compared to p150/180 ?
2.why are they pushing most of the customers into buying the old pulsar twins like that of stock clearance sale and does this mean the p135 could hit the axe under a maximum period of 1-2 years ?
What i could guess is that, it is a stock clearance sale as if you ask me. something big is coming as replacement for the aging twins and that i guess could explain why the sales persons where promoting more pulsar 150s and 180s as they could have been asked to clear of the old gen twins to pave way for the new ones.As for pulsar 135, i think it'll soon be phased off. Rajiv bajaj had clearly indicated that he'll concentrate on the 2 brand strategy of discovers for the commuter segment and pulsar for the sports segment. Current Pulsar 135, 150 and 180 are more like glorified sports commuters and can't be badged as sports bikes as such. And i think they will take these three birds down with 2 stones may be. The first stone being a revamped discover 150 in the lines of discover st which will take duties from the current p135 as well as 150 and will cater to those looking for practical yet sporty power commuters which the pulsar 135 and the commuter side of p150 performed for with mileage, style and practicality and ride comfort getting more emphasis catering to city runs and occasional highway runs as well.
As for the p180's replacement, a liquid cooled sub 200 pulsar, something in the line of a 160 Ns or faired version will come and do both of their jobs thereby being the best of both worlds giving bajaj a good contender for 150 sports segment which can deliver almost the fuel efficiency of p150 along with even better performance and dynamics than the current set of 150 to 180 cc machines and could come in under 80k price range .

. . . BTW neat and good drawing you have done there and shouldn't the front fairing be made either less or lifted the front fairing
cos it looks like the fairing is way away and also looks too low IMO, correct me if it's not. . .
