    No info on that yet!
I think it'd just be an engine swap on the same frame. Similar to Hyosung GTR series. A leaner 500 would look ugly. Not HD like at all!

If that'd be the case, my best guess would be HD will try go the TBTS way - better paint and finish for the higher cc and inferior paint and parts for the lower cc.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Is it really true? I found both TBTS to be of same quality! It is a bit ridiculous to be frank

And 500 looks very much similar to 750. Btw just read the discussion that happened in previous pages regarding power.. someone in that link just blurted that it may be half of sportster (52hp) and people go gaga over it.

Yes it was me and read it from a source. I think I have given the link in that comment and also had written "If" turns out be true and then not so clever from HD (3+ lakh, 200 kgs around bike making meager 26-28 bhp)

Adarsh bhai, I guess you know that the all-black and matt-black (stone) options are not available on the TB350 - they are exclusive to the TB500. Tb350 gets only the regular Black-and-chrome treatment.

BTW, why do people complain for BHP figures in a cruiser? Everyone knows that BHP is dependent on RPM and no one revs a cruiser hard. Cruisers are all about torque.

Quoting some points from the t-bhp article:

                      • For cost reference, in the USA the Street 500 will retail at $6700 (Rs. 4.15L) and the Street 750 at $7500 (Rs. 4.64L).

Just 50k difference between the 500 and the 750? Harley could do a wiser move by selling the 500 at ~3.5L and the 750 at ~4.5L

                      • The Street 750 will use MRF tyres.

Okay. And the 500 may settle for something worse off. TVS tyres on a HD, anyone?

                      • The Street 500 & 750 bikes have no part sharing with the other bikes in the Harley-Davidson line-up.

So it will be a royal PITA to get spares for the twins.

                      • Apart from the engine, the Street 750 & Street 500 will be almost identical.

Almost. Except maybe a disproportionate rear tyre (CBR150, anyone?) or a lack of color options (TBTS350?) or worse, missing basic essentials (Yes, CBR150 again)?

Overall, this is the only look which I loved on the 750. The twin pipes and the chopped-out looks make it look slightly authentic, everywhere else, it looks like a maxed out Avvy.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Just chanced upon this thread... personally not into cruisers but hey if I do end up having a bike collection eventually in life... wouldn't really mind a nice 750 cruiser made in India ...

                        Thumbs up to Harley.

Lots and lots of opinions and view points here. Pretty interesting read all through this thread. My only question is can we live with it? Buying the damn thing is just the first step. Can harley owners and others in this forum shed some light on HD after sales service? I own the Hyosung ST7 and the ownership experience has been an absolute delight because of DSK's service support!!! Buying a Harley label just because I can and then regret having the ride sitting in my garage due to lack of spares/ service is not my cuppa tea. DSK has indeed made service their USP. It's time others follow suit.

                            Street 750 launched at 4.1lc
                            Very attractive price
Weight under 220kg with 65nm. Although it comes on a relatively high rpm , but still very nice torque.
I guess its a good platform for custom bike.
Power would be easily into mid fifties , although no official power figure quoted.

Peak power 54bhp@7500rpm. Torque 60NM. Quoting from CycleWorld:

Redline for both engines is 8,000 rpm, and peak power for the 750, though not officially announced, was said by one Harley rep to be 54 hp at 7,500 rpm, with 44 pound-feet of peak torque arriving at an unspecified rpm

Ya that's what i thought looking at the torque number.
I think its a very very lucrative pack for town riding and commuting. Although it would not be too bad for Indian highway aswell , given that it comes with 144mm of GC and ample torque.
Just fit on some funky headlights and a cool solo saddle with chopped rear fender , and one would be talk of the town in no time.
I am sure its going to eat into sales of superlow as well as bullet 500.
Legacy & legend or not people will shell out extra money for HD tag quite easily, and since it comes out of the roof of HD I am sure quality will be top notch.
