Next week my friend. Three bikes will be available for test rides: Bonnie (basic), Street Triple and Tiger 800XC.
Any word if this is only for people who have booked or for everyone?

I got a call today from Triumph Hyderabad showroom asking to come down for a test ride. I haven't booked any bike; not even visited the showroom yet. Just registered online for a test ride.
All the bikes displayed will be available for test ride, should be the same for Bangalore.

That is just great. I hope to get a similar call from both dealers. Have already fixed my leave request - my boss rolled his eyes (this guy is in a solid mid-life crisis, riding up from Ahmedabad to Sri Ganganagar in the fog just like that, at his age, and now wants to test ride an even bigger bike, sympathies for his wife and kids and parents, what a strange maverick, who the bloody hell goes across 1500 kms just to see and touch and feel a motorcycle, Bullet rakh lo, Joe, leave is meant for the family not for a motorcycle, come over in the evening for a drink and we can sort out all of your problems...err, what is the meaning of Bonneville, etc etc) and resigned himself to writing my obituary and epitaph soon.

Learned from other forum that Prasanna who was in charge of Kawasaki/KTM service center Bangalore is now the service manager at Triumph Bangalore. He was a great help when I had Ninja 250 @ Bangalore.
Also test ride not yet started at Bangalore, as there is a delay in getting TC plates for the bikes. So test ride call is around the corner, coming soon

So, I will be watching out for double headlight vroom, vrooms in the city of speed breakers!

Thanks. These 6 days are going to be the longest days ever for me. The jump from riding a 10 year old Pulsar 150 (which I got from my dad when I started my job one and half year back) to Striple is going to quite exciting.

There were a *total* of 50 bookings on the day showroom was opened. I'm sorry, I was not clear enough. Not sure about the number of Striples in these 50 bookings. Only stat I have is, when the "net" booking number was 30, 6 out of those booked bikes were Street Triples.

btw please tell me which job allows you to buy a 9 lac bike in 1.5 years? Consultancy? Stock Broking? Politics? smuggling?

I thought you must be running some business

ON a serious note, you have gotten yourself an awesome streetfighter. Somehow I am in love with those bug eyes many people find ugly. So much that I may be prepared to give the daytona a miss for this one IF I had to make a choice. The supersports will always be the pinnacle of biking for sure, but the 'feel' and charm of a naked cannot be found on a faired bike.
And though I like short underslung exhausts, somehow I feel the underseat ones looked better. But this one is no less a beauty.

Do start a thread as soon as you get the bike and keep on posting your impressions.

Short story: Well, lets put it the other way. After I started my job, the bike was my only priority. .

Long story: I got a good job in campus placements from a good college (DevOps/System Architect, whatever you wanna call). I didn't invest any money all this time to have as much cash as possible (no tax benefit related savings). Not getting into specifics, 17 months down the line, I managed to save 75% of the on-road price. Got the rest of money from my dad (please don't judge, I could've taken a loan but the period of 12/24 months was a bit too high for a relatively small amount which I could pay back in a few months time). I spent 4th year of my college (after getting placed) watching youtube videos of this bike and I can proudly say,
if I've not watched a particular Street Triple video, it doesn't exist on the internet.
Ya, I'll surely start a new thread depending on the interest of people here. I personally love the bug eyes and the new exhaust looks sportier to me. May be, that's just me.

Arre bhai. You actually told me how you did it? I made the inquiry on your source of funds in jest. But you actually explained

Btw it's not uncommon these days for freshers from good B Tech colleges(I can claim to be from one) get good packages(but I didn't get one ), which are routinely touching 10-12 lacs. And if you happen to pass out of some of the top MBA colleges, then 15-20 lacs are up for grabs more often than not.
So a year's time would be ok, especially if the guy is passionate about riding that bike. If say, he doesn't want that as bad, then may be 2 years. Not more than that.

Just because I start riding at 60-70kph in 5th-6th gear in the last week of every month, doesn't mean that people should not buy street triples
And hey I don't think I have the mandate to judge you . You can as well rob a bank(ok not exactly that) for your purchase. I am sure you would let your dad take a ride on the bike though
The hero always RIDES into the sunset!
