Re: Hero HX250r revealed, with 31ps Liquid Cooled Engine: xBhp News
Yes that figure of 139KG is superb, even if any 250-300 cc bike is producing more BHP's than HX, even then power to wait ratio will be in favor of HX, I dont know how they made it this much big to wait just 139KG, here EBR comes in the picture who done this, otherwise less weight bikes like duke 200 or 390, we know how they look like because they reduce the wait from body part and chassis.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Post

Re: Hero HX250r revealed, with 31ps Liquid Cooled Engine: xBhp News
yes its surprise for most bike enthusiast, how they got that light weight. its EBR in business.they do more into reducing weight and mass centralization...which results in few creative ideas like hubless heels, perimeter mounted disc brakes, fuel in frame and oil near the suspension..and so on.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostYes that figure of 139KG is superb, even if any 250-300 cc bike is producing more BHP's than HX, even then power to wait ratio will be in favor of HX, I dont know how they made it this much big to wait just 139KG, here EBR comes in the picture who done this, otherwise less weight bikes like duke 200 or 390, we know how they look like because they reduce the wait from body part and chassis.

The pricing might prove to be the decisive factor for HX250 in INDIA. Add to that Hero's nationwide network.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

I don't think this bike will be priced below 1.6. Really hope it does but then, being over optimistic is bad!

which hole are you referring to...?Originally posted by Minisoda View PostSo I noticed there is an opening in the fairing possibly to let the journalist's take a peek at the engine.
I wonder if it will be there in the bike when it goes on sale?

It looks like an opening to me. But why is it there if it is supposed to be a full faired bike. If someone thinks otherwise, please enlighten me as to what this actually is.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Postwhich hole are you referring to...?

It's just a design element of the bike. It's common even with bigger bikes.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostIt looks like an opening to me. But why is it there if it is supposed to be a full faired bike. If someone thinks otherwise, please enlighten me as to what this actually is.

Apart from design feature this air duct helps in cooling the engine i feel, most of these full faired and high performance machines are tested in Wind tunnel, fresh air will enter from the front of the bike and after hitting the engine, air will escape out from this air opening.

I see. It may be there to let the hot air out of the engine bay, while also being a design element.Originally posted by blizviz View PostIt's just a design element of the bike. It's common even with bigger bikes.

The Ninja 300 has these openings as well. They are there to direct hot air away from the rider's legs.Originally posted by kusmaker View PostApart from design feature this air duct helps in cooling the engine i feel, most of these full faired and high performance machines are tested in Wind tunnel, fresh air will enter from the front of the bike and after hitting the engine, air will escape out from this air opening.
The hole on this bike is so big that I just couldn't figure out the purpose of it.
Doesn't it look a little too big to you guys? I hope I'm not being paranoid.

Re: Hero HX250r revealed, with 31ps Liquid Cooled Engine: xBhp News
^^ As we know that these holes in fairing works for hot air to let go out escape riders legs.
In the case of HC I think there is no harm to make it big, may be it looks good with design of the bike according to designers and it helps to save the bike wait too, may be only few grams but that can be the reason...
