And my bad, yes its for both the bikes, the RC 200 and the RC 390.

About the mirrors, I was left wondering how would a Pulsar 200 mirror fit on the RC?

Update: 760 kms, the bike showed some signs of missing early morning. It even stalled once in the first 3-4 mins of riding. Though once the engine warmed up, it was absolutely fine. Need to look out for this issue.

I hated this particular issue everyday on my Duke 390 till the time it was fixed and it took them a really long time. I hope this isn't an issue in the first place on the RC.

I was actually talking about the duke when I said 200NS mirrors will fit.

Btw you said your Rc and your duke both have misfire issue and that it was solved on your duke.

Can you tell us how this was done? What the actual problem was?

Yeah funny thing about that. I thought I was on the duke forum. LOL
Having an RC opens many options to you. On eBay itself you'll find aftermarket RVM's for cbr250 and ninjas. These designer ones also have turn indicators on them just like the RC's. Also you can go to bike accessory shops and place orders for fancy and functional RVM's but you must know your stuff or else they'll just tell you it can't be done.

lol kbr park zindabad.. yes i found the banjara outlet guys more friendly, manager Mr.Kumar and both the workshop guys Phani/Srikanth. The sales guy *name withheld* is a bit of a snob though.it's a small place but definitely more relaxed. They happily obliged when i told them i wanted a new piece (not from the display ones), and two days before they showed me the bike (all covered up in factory plastic) and i told them to keep that for me and the bike was wheeled to their backyard and kept so until i came for delivery. I enjoyed pulling off all the plastic covers and had a grin when i saw the odo read 0. An hour later the expression on my face changed due to the poor QC from Ktm, but a few more hours later i left smiling thanks to the work of the mechs.

Begumpet showroom guys are helpful and politely rude. Their motto is I would like to help but can't. So make sure if you're going there to PDI the bike properly and to not take no for an answer. And I found that if you pester them in person instead of over the phone it helps greatly (especially if you do it in front of other customers LOL :P). Other than that they are pretty accommodating and will get you your bike on your terms. But as far as service is concerned I would choose KTM banjara any day with my eyes closed. Its just as s1d said they are happy if the customer is happy. If you happen by KTM banjara this Thursday look me up, I'll be there from morning till evening getting my Duke390 fixed.
Cheers

Thanks mate.. I'll actually be taking delivery from begumpet and yes those guys are tough to crack indeed.. won't even give a full tank petrol.. not even keychain.. just enough fuel to go to the nearest fuel station.. not reducing the price by a penny.. nothing.. it's always by their terms.. so far I have said okay to all of it.. guess I don't have another way..

The thing is that my delivery is on 10th.. and it's late in the evening (last exam finishing at 6.30) so I don't want to do it then.. I want to check the bike in sunlight.. I made a list of 38 items to be checked.. kinda big list.. I'll go there and select on Friday..

He is always like "just give me money and take the damn bike and get out of here"

Then my dad said that we are looking for auspicious date then he cooled down a bit.. no wonder I am beginning to hate him already..

He is telling that he cannot hold a vehicle beyond 2 days after the call.. however the agreement states 2 weeks.. dank those fellows...

Not sure whether this is relevant, but I'm not sure whether to trust the banjara hills guys.. let me tell what happened with me..

I was initially into buying the duke 200.. went to banjara for spot delivery (banjara = varun motors/kbr park).. took a test ride of the 200.. it wasn't even 100 meters.. maybe 150 meters just around the shop.. and it wasn't even the test drive vehicle.. it was a customer's vehicle.. the reason is that the test drive vehicle has had a crash.. (same story for prior 2 months from all the showrooms)

I guess they have only one vehicle for the whole city..

Now I don't want my bike to be a test ride..

Not sure about ktm hitex (image hospitals) but I really liked the manger there..

Its like I said man, Banjara KTM for servicing and Begumpet KTM for buying. The showroom manager (old balding guy with glasses) is a nice guy but remains frustrated all the time for some reason. but the arrogant ones are the other salesmen. don't take it to heart because trust me in Hyderabad they at least according to me KTM banjara is the best KTM svc.

Guys who are already driving the RC 390, is anyone among them facing starting issues sometimes..because its happening with my bike not always but sometimes when you are riding in traffic and stop at signal and try to restart sometimes it takes 2-3 selfs to start...

I'm not riding the 390 but from the d390, the issue seems to be carry forwarded.. the thing is that when the engine is pretty in high temp, it won't start coz when the rad fan is spinning, you switch off the bike, the fan won't continue running and cool the engine.. hence the engine is under heat and it won't start.. once it's cooled down a bit, it will start.. don't force it.. give it a minute or don't switch off your bike when the rad fan is running or when the signal is just a minute or 30 seconds away..

Go checkout the RC390 ownership thread, there are some posts of engine stall there by new owners.

There is a tiny yellow light on the speedometer which indicates that engine is ready to start. If you hit the starter before this light switches on then your bike won't start in one self. It'll take at least 3-4 selfs to start.
If you wait for the light to turn on after flipping the engine cut off switch and still face this problem then you should go to svc as it could be fueling related.

Same problem with me. More so when I erroneously stall the bike. It simply refuses to start. I was aware that Duke refuses to start when hot but was hoping RC won't have the same trouble.

I haven't noticed the lighting up of sign. Though I once turned the key on and off and bike started like normal.

No no. I am telling you there is no erroneous starting issue even on the dukes. You just have to wait for the tin yellow ignition light to come on after stalling the bike. Its the light right next to the gear shift indicator on the left.
In traffic if the bike stalls we Indians have this habit of thumbing the starter in panic mode. In such a situation you must remember that any bike with an electronic ignition timing adjuster, like the duke will need time to recalibrate the system. That is what that ignition light signifies. If you wait for the light and then thumb the starter the bike starts instantly otherwise it refuses to start until you let it recalibrate.
This is honestly why I learnt clutch management and refuse to shut the bike down on traffic lights.
