[QUOTE=hackernewbie;1105834]RC 390 TR bike crashes near Mekhri Circle. Most probably belonged to Mekhri KTM!

    /QUOTE]

6 days and 2 crashes in Bangalore ? Phew! This is crazy!
Saw another post on fb, RC390 hit an SUV. One of the pictures showed blood on the road, just hoping nobody was seriously injured.

Everything on RC is prone to scratches. The whole tank is made of plastic and after one long ride, the paint from tank where belly rubs has already faded. Will need to affix a tank pad. Also the plastic part covering the battery is made of plastic and has a crease where dust had gotten stuck. I tried removing the dust and plastic got scratched from my nails!!! The windshield is does appear tricky to clean but haven't tried cleaning so can't comment.

Radiator though should not be a problem. It isn't dirty yet but I plan to use an old toothbrush to clean the fin softly. Duke owners may advise if this is correct approach.

Well, this is reality of biking anywhere in this world! In India, it just amplifies thanks to our rule - smaller vehicles are responsible for their well being!

Unfortunate incidents. Even the mechanics i was chit chatting to while picking up my d200 were saying that kids aren't able to control these bikes be it the 200 or 390.
Sadly it is true.. most of them coming from the unicorns and pulsars etc. and seem to be lacking throttle control.
For guys here who are going pick up the Dukes, at least for the first couple of 1000km understand the bike and accelerate progressively. Over time you will be able to have good control of the bike be it at acceleration or braking. If you think its as simple as a twist of the wrist , you could be in for a nasty surprise. Don't have an ego to ride slow and steady earlier on.
And the RC's twins i feel would not be comfortable for many riders (i see some just buying them without test rides etc.. just going by the looks). Considering our traffic/roads and average rider knowledge/skills i wont be surprised to see ppl ending up in such situations.

I think the issue is that we do not have any licence levels like EU (AFAIK.. Correct me if I'm wrong)
you get a two wheeler licence, you can ride anything from a 100cc to a 1000cc bikes.. that's something not right from Govt. POV.
to fuel those, we got bad roads (again babus eating 'em up) and no (Okay limited) dedicated tracks to unleash and experience some thrill at safe levels.. (save for highways)

live long.. live happy.. that's the best revenge that can be served to the people who hate you..

To an extent you are right but the people who are riding these bikes have to be careful about others and themselves. Here most of them think road is a race track. Saw a kid couple of months ago riding a d200 without riding gears and i thought he almost met with an accident. He was overtaking me from left side and the next second he went to my right and overtook an autorikshaw and he took u turn and went. The gap between auto and median was just the duke's width. And that too he was above 80kmph.

They dont know how to control it. And most of them are kids. Parents dont even care. Because of these sick kids, people are blaming good riders too.

Most of them buy the bike, show off and race on public roads even before knowing the bike and knowing their own limits on controlling the bike.

                            Sad to see all this.

Well, I don't think this will be the last, going by how many idiots I see on the road. As long as they don't hurt somebody else, I really don't care if they fall into a ditch or go under a truck because of their stupidity.

Are we getting test rides in Bangalore now, I mean both RC200 and RC390?
