        I wonder what Bajaj is thinking.... this would do more harm to them then probably it would do good to them!

        I guess they want to bank on the ploy that 'worked' in P150 and P180, and now wants to repeat the same for P200 and P220... and P200 vs P180

        Unlike that segment, the Target Audience in this segment knows thier bike... and thought looks really dont matter a lot to them, but trust me they would hate to see a P200 'posing' like a 220... you will end up frustrating your existing loyal customers...

        I just hope all this was a dumb joke...and If this was true, then let the P220 get a major upgrade and all....!

              if that report is anything to go by... i as a p200 owner am gonna be very very pissed if Bajaj have seriously decided to dilute the 200 brand further by giving the 180 a paste job and bring it to 200 looks/feature spec.

              I'm sorry but i'd really feel cheated in someway if this is indeed what they're doing. I'd expect if they do the same to the 200 then the 220 owners might not like it.

              More significantly, what the hell is Bajaj trying to do? A Hero Honda??

                ^^ If you have been following this thread, you will know that Bajaj has already put it out as a marketing excercise where they are seeing customer feedback from these different models.

                The article written is not a reliable source.

                  ^^ i have been following it yes and decided to see if Bajaj was really doing so or if it was just a faux pas, but after waiting for a little bit of further confirmation and reports (which now seems to be coming from various sources) it does seem that they're planning to do exactly as initially reported.

                  Thats why if they do really go ahead with it.. for sure they're gonna have atleast 1 pissed customer in me..

                    ^^ The 200 remains to be the best looking bike in the country, for me, atleast. Bajaj is gauging the public response to all these models. They have not yet decided which to upgrade. But even if it is the 180, it will be different than the 200 because of the exhaust. And also, they will make sure the 200 too gets an upgrade to differentiate it stylistically. The 200 brand will not get diluted.

                                You want to gauge customer response, you let one of your own employees shoot a spy video and then let him post it on xBhp. You then sit back and watch the comments bundle in. You do not demand that the video be removed and then pay out loads of money to a firm like AC Nielsen and then try analyse what the customer wants from hundreds of feedback forms.

                                God.. show them the easy way and they'll still take the pot holed road with no chaai shop for hundreds of kms.
