    • Well I think the video had some marketing strategy of bajaj revealed and it should be kept secret..............however dumb it might be,like riding the wall of a dam or hoping through roof tops or a sister locking up another sister to get a ride....whatever.

But simple pics at Xbhp would have generated more views enough to have ascertained Bajaj a good design and outlook of consumer's choice.

And if really some senior bloke at Bajaj goes through Xbhp to the extent of sacking a member then he should also hear this loud and clear that P150 really needs some show along with the go to boost Bajaj sales again............removing video and tormenting employees wont help. The employee did a good thing in posting the vid,we have every right to basic information in our India.

I'm gonna sue our good ol' moderators who work so hard to keep the forum clean and civilized!

It is really understandable if the video was something taken inside the Bajaj factory, which we have no right to be witness to, unless we've been authorized to do so, but the Pro biking showroom, especially the exhibit area, is as public as public can get. So what's the legality of trying to supress visual information obtained from a public place? We should've really taken a stand and told the guys at Bajaj 'No offence meant Sir, but we think the video should stay, and nobody but you gains from it, thank you.'

Come to think of it though, getting more technical would mean the inside of the Pro Biking Showroom is after all private property... well I'm out of here!

Lastly, I think those of us who really care what's gonna come up next from the Bajaj stables, should shoot off a mail to Bajaj, using words like 'If there is any intention to evolve the 200 with the 220 fairing...' and tell them we don't want it. I guess if we ( I assume the most 'aware' consumers ) aren't included in the focus groups Bajaj is using to gauge customer response, we should forcibly include ourselves!

Let's hope there is a huge 'difference' in opinion amongst the management as to whether continue evolving the Pulsar family with mild changes or go the Yamaha way.

For the record, in Mr. Rajiv Bajaj's interview with CNBC TV 18 Overdrive, he's mentioned the Pulsar family will continue to evolve and that they also intend to introduce a new bike in the premium segment.

Does reek exactly of that though !

In any case, us xBhpians get wind of all the impending launches thanks to people like Manan, Joel, Bandhav etc and hence prospective buyers are able to make well informed and researched purchases.
One of the perks in being an xBhpian.

Thats a major hats off to our beloved xBhp. Be the news pure speculation or concrete info !!

                • Guys, One of the new P200 is coming soon, for March installment of New bike release. Remember, Bajaj said they would release a bike every month?? They left Feb empty but NOW they will launch this bike soon....

The 3 models were put to "judge the best upgrade" of them. And it seems, Bajaj finally collected the data from us, as to which model is most suitable upgrade... and yes, now it's 19 bhp...

I SAY:--> If 19 bhp is not due to Fi/ technology, It's due to tuning only. and tuning means, low & mid range might pay for the high end...

Proof: Bajaj Pulsar 200 to grow up

                  • These Visual Upgrades are not gonna make a dramatic change in thier Bikes.....

All we want is a Bigger and faster Pulsar............

We dont want these Penny figures of increasing power to 17 to 19......20 to 22......

THough we all know that Pulsar Engine cannot be powered more or modified more ----- how about a Twin Head......

                    • Hey guys..why there was so much hype regarding the information coming out on those new updated versions of Pulsar when ultimately the news was gonna be published in a reputed magazine..?

I dont have that deep knowledge of this entire incident as I never followed this thread that much but what ever little I've read has surprised me a lot.

I today received the April issue of Bike India which has a half a page story of the new upgraded models of Pulsars. That too with couple of comparison pics.

It's difficult to pen down each n every words. But here's selective data of that article.

"AT THE BEGINNING OF 2009, BAJAJ AUTO ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL LAUNCH A NEW BIKE EVERY MONTH FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF THE YEAR. BAJAJ DID UNVEIL 3 VARIANTS OF THE PULSAR 200 AT A PROBIKING SHOWROOM IN PUNE. THE BIKES WERE DISPLAYED FOR THE ENTHUSIASTS TO CHOOSE THE BEST OPTION AMONG THE THREE. THIS WAS DONE AS THE COMPANY PLANNED TO FINALIZE THE FACE LIFTED VERSION OF THE PULSAR 200 BASED ON THIS SURVEY.

THE FIRST BIKE WE SAW WAS FITTED WITH CLIP ON HANDLEBARS, A REAR DISC BRAKE AND BIGGER FRONT FORKS - ALL BORROWED FROM IT'S ELDER SIBLING, THE PULSAR 220DTS-FI.

THE SECOND VARIANT WAS A DITTO COPY OF THE P220 EXCEPT THAT THIS ONE SPORTED AN ALL BLACK ENGINE AND ALLOYS.

THE THIRD VARIANT WAS SIMILAR TO THE SECOND SANS THE REAR DISC BRAKE.

APART FROM THE P200, THE SHOWROOM GUYS ALSO SAID THAT A FACELIFTED VERSION OF THE P180 WILL HIT THE MARKET WHICH WILL SPORT THE LOOKS OF THE CURRENT P200.

SURVEY OFFICIALS SAID THAT BAJAJ WAS PLANNING A PRICE TAG OF RS.77000 FOR THE FIRST P200 VARIANT. THE P220 COPY VARIANT MAY DEBUT AT A PRICE OF RS.79000

I think ketan is pondering the obvious question, what the big fuss was all about when ultimately the news was going to be reported in a magazine?

We were forced to delete all links to that video right? Makes sense if the entire thing was gonna be cloaked in secrecy, but here we are reading the same bit of news in a magazine with quite a huge distribution network. So what was the point of all the 'directives' to delete the video blah blah..

I'm more confused by our attitude really.. we let spy shots of the Ninja 250, from the Bajaj plant, which is absolute private property, stick around on our forum for quite a while, whereas we have our asses on fire for posting a video taken at a Pro Biking showroom?

what do u want me to explain MG?

I just wanted to say why was all the fuss created when eventually the entire news was going to be published in a magzine, that too just a few days after the incident happened.

and bout xbhp being the source of first hand information.. it's very true at it's place. When something's posted on a public forum, different views/opinions are bound to come in. That's what the public forum is all about, to discuss things...

what thelayer said below is more or less what I wanted to say and may b that's what MG wanted me to explain...

To be very frank I was shocked when I saw the pictures of Ninja here in xBhp. I tried to look for the actual source of picture which could not be traced and hence the pictures remained as it is.

Although I'm not in a position to say what exactly happened that day(Was absent from xBhp) but the difference between these two events is that since the video was clicked in Pro-Biking so the company knew who all were there and it was there responsibility to stop any such incident. They most probably knew the guy who clicked the video and hence he was requested to delete it from youtube and somehow they contacted Aryan(I guess). This can only be seen as a immediate precautionary mesaure to stop the news from spreading and hampering company sales but we all know that it didn't happen and the news actually spread like a wild fire.

                              • I am sure a vehicle is kept in the showroom for public display, right? and from their it will reach to a wider audience by any means possible! If Bajaj couldn't understand this then its their fault not of the one who took the video!!
