    I wanted 2 get performa/quotation of Yamaha FZ-S.
In the showroom nobody came to attend me, so I asked a young man..may be a salesperson..he gave me the performa/quotation. I asked him about finance scheme..so he told me about finance also. He was in little hurry..may be his duty was getting over or something..(I went there around at 3.00pm)..I wanted to know the details of Yamaha FZ-S...I mean, bike's features..performance..and all other specialities of Yamaha FZ-S. But all salespersons were busy..I noticed that hardly any customer was there at that time. Then why they neglected me? I know it sounds egoistic..but I'm not that kind of person. Just imagine yourself in my place..my wife was also with me..the person who gave us performa/quotation, my wife asked him about test-ride of Yamaha FZ-S. He said there is no bike for test-ride available at that moment. But while entering to the showroom I saw there were three test-ride bikes parked out side the main entrance..and a customer was taking a test-ride. My wife asked the same salesman a pamphlet/brochure of Yamaha FZ-S..but he said that pamphlet/brochure is also not available. In the showroom there were two/three Yamaha FZ-S exhibited. Anxiously in excitement I went to a bike and I sat on bike's front seat. In the next moment, the person who gave me performa/quotation, said, "Baithna nahi.."("Don't seat..") I said sorry to him and got down. Then I left the showroom..but felt bad about it. My wife told me to ignore all that..so I'm almost normal now..but now I'm confused about buying Yamaha's any bike..!!!

Do one thing go to same showroom and call that person again tell him to give quotation for FZ-s again with brochure and full financing procedure
    and this time go alone...
if he still say no then straight away talk to his manager saying I'll complain this to Yamaha about your showroom...
    sometimes EGO is very necessary
I feel sorry for you, wish I was there with you I would have %*^&@ out of that person...

i feel sorry for you brother.
But similar thing happened with me too brother... few months back ... i went with my mom to book HONDA ACTIVA for my dad in one of the showrooms @ lko. i entered along with my mother .. even though seeing a lady customer the staff didnt attend us... i was like cos i went to book one.
they kept sitting at there respective places chit chatting .... i took my mom to show the vehicle .... and one of the staff members blabbers " sorry mam no booking till february" .. there was not a single customer apart frm us.
my mom asked one of the staff member to call the showroom manager as we both were pissed off with there attitude.
when he came my mom complained about the unprofessionalism of there staff members .
i said that ill shoot a mail to honda about the behaviour of their staff members with some SERIOUS customers.
The manager was a very nice person ... he immediately apologised to us followed by the staff members.
he even offered us booking activa although it was closed.
but my mom gave a simple NO as an answer to 'em.
in the end i also told them i would never reccomend there showroom to anyone and we are going to book @ another showroom right then.
and we left and booked the vehicle @ another showroom that evening only.

        Oh!! Yamaha!/Honda,
What to do man? many ppl still here like them! They don't take customer care seriously enough.but we(Indians) loves to get pissed off(after centuries of foreign rules),for that reason yamaha/Honda is still here in india not because of that they are providing us excellent m/cs.
Look to china they banned google dr! we 'll never become so strong like them.

        • Its more to do with the unprofessional attitude of the staff rather than the companies, I visited 3 different Yamaha showrooms in Pune for purchasing R15 the sales people helped in all cases, I am a very happy to have chosen Yamaha with their regular sms's from booking to service

          • @i_mahi: The problem is that in such situations, we need to speak up. In India, we are used to horrendous levels of customer care. We accept it because we have never seen anything different. When faced with such situations, make a noise, ask to see the manager there. If they are uncooperative, just ask their names and tell them that it would be needed for writing that complaint mail.
Without DANDA, things don't work. Times have changed and you will see that the middle and top tier management will take your complaint seriously and crack the whip. They have a bottom line to take care of I would suggest, don't let this pathetic experience go unreported.
It happened with me in the case of Bajaj, where a Mr Snobby mechanic suddenly became goody two shoes when i shot a mail to each and every relevant bajaj ID i could get hold of.
