Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R launched at Rs 79900/-

So much hoopla and money spent on marketing gimmicks, but

i still don't understand how Honda can miss out on an Engine Kill switch??? :O

its not like its some advanced technology, or even unproven technology.

could it be a deal breaker? for those who are hardcore unicorn/twister fans, no, but those who are sitting on the fence, definitely!

Pricing is almost 4k over gixxer.maybe it has better overall quality but that switchgear says loudly that I am cheap.also not sure about ac or DC headlamp.it will sell because of Honda badge and better pillion seat.

Somewhere I read that it does not have engine kill switch. I am not whining, but trying to understand what makes Honda not to give that in a premium product.
Yes, there's no engine kill switch! I had put up this question earlier to someone from Honda's design team at some other launch as to why Honda doesn't give engine kill switch or louder horn...he didn't have any clear answer and was like some features are given in a particular segment bike, and bikes don't need those features!

The overall product looks and feels nice. Will get to ride it tomorrow as well. The switch gear that you on the Hornet is basically the same one that you'll see on a lot of other Honda bikes as well.....it is taken straight from there. A cost saving measure probably!

4 to 5 days? lol, are you joking? The bikes havent come to the showrooms in hyderabad even for display. Let alone all that, on their official website, theres no price listing for Hyderabad

Nice to see that the rear disc brake is a standard feature. Sport bikes should never sport drum.

Combined brake system means.. Equal pressure on both brakes.. During braking?

yet another bike from HONDA with a cheap Switch gear...

(no offence) but i feel these guys are way too over-confident.

You know the Combi brakes in Activa? Where you pull the rear brakes and the front brakes also gets applied slightly? Same deal. I dont know if it works Vice versa as well.

How exactly does Hornet 160R being BS-IV compliant is a good thing and how will it help in the long run?!

Honda and Switchgers! The lamp seems to be DC. It says 12V 35/35W on Website.
