Well agreed 12k is a bit steep compared to trigger but why should you compare it with trigger? Rather compare it to the competitors. Its around 4k costlier than Gixxer and its cheaper than FZ. People will say FZ has FI and hence so costly but then whats the use of such an advanced system when it wont have a better Fuel efficiency neither power figures than its competitors. I believe Hornet will have a better FE and obviously its way to faster than others. I saw a drag video where Unicorn 160 won over Gixxer. Now take into account the bump in power and torque figures. Design-wise, i feel, its currently the best in the segment. Personally i liked the design over Gixxer, which for me, comes second here. Though the rear seat design could have been a bit more sporty to gel overall with the design cues of the bike. But i guess Honda people went for utility over design hence it would be more comfortable as some folks have already mentioned here. Also consider that Honda "ALWAYS" charges a premium over its competitors. Its just their policy. [OT-Sometimes i feel even if their overall cost is too low, still they would launch for a bigger price to conform to this policy :P]
Coming to trigger i felt it was a dated design even when it was launched and it was manufactured on the same structure which their previous bikes were made. Hornet looks really different. Just waiting to see it in flesh. Even to see the new Dark blue colour. It looks quite different. I am positive about this bike and i feel that it would be gamechanger just as how Gixxer was. And also FZ sales would see a decline but Gixxer wont be affected much here.

Add the cost of saree gaurd and mirrors, the price hits 93K. I don't see where the justification for the Rs 6000 difference is. The switch gear comes straight off the dream series. Heck, even the CBR 150 gets the same
My 2012 Unicorn has infinitely better switches. Engine kill switch is still missing. Trust me , there is no DC lighting,I called up a friend who went to the launch. People have been crying out for these 2 features since the trigger was launched and yet Honda doesn't really seem to care what prospective customers want. The only positive of the Hornet is the higher Power and torque figures. And if i a may, better resale value.
