So 1.58 is valid till Diwali which is almost a month away - it means that the discounts that were talked about for the first few will make it cheaper still.
I'm worried reading this line - "though the first 100 bikes have already been booked by invitation" - am I within the first 100 or not?

EDIT: It is 163500 ex-showroom in Bangalore (from http://mahindramojo.com/)
Should have booked it in Delhi, Bangalore has the highest prices - be it ex-showroom or on-road. What a ripoff.

          Good proposition, I would say.

Everything good gets converted to bad in Bangalore though. All hail potholes & road tax.

Expensive for what it is offering. Suddenly the CBR 250 looks decently priced

Let's hope Mojo fares better than the Inazuma.

edit: oh wait its already got 100 bookings? Hmm then its already fared better than the GW250

I still remember the Tata Nano garnering thousands of bookings and the mass hysteria when it was launched

Exactly what I was thinking, Mahindra is not a proven brand and close to 2 lakhs for a new entrant is bit high.

But then again if people can buy Hyosung why not a Indian company made motorcycle, Yes Mahindra has a moto 3 team and now a formula e team, but I feel sad that with all the experience it took them 5 years to develop a Initially advertised as a track machine to now a commuter/tourer.

Hope they do well, but my past experience with low quality 4 wheeler and two wheeler I will never invest in a Mahindra vehicle again.

Inazuma failed because of very poor marketing. Suzuki failed to create any kinda hype for inazuma whereas mahindra is leaving no stone unturned as far as marketing and campaining is concerned. They are giving full page ads, giving various free gifts and they are doing various other things.

PS: sometimes even ad campains dont help to give good results like in case of honda dream series which selling much below honda's expectations i.e. around 40000 units per month only even after hiring akshay kumar as brand ambassador.

Why do you say so? Doesnt the Mojo have better equipment, power figures than the current CBR? Price cant be decided on character of the bike, then REs wont sell.
