Re: Mahindra Mojo Introductory Price Rs 158000/- Ex Showroom Delhi

Mojo will have high expectations. It's been a very long time since the time Mojo was announced first. If the bike turns out to be good in terms of quality and performance, then there's no reason people would not buy it. May very well turn out to be a hit. Nobody expected good numbers from Centuro. People looking for a relaxed ride within 2 lakh has one more option now. Mahindra needs to increase their ass(no pun intended)!
Coming to the price, yes it seems a good 20K higher than what had I thought about the price. But then, in India, bikes scoring low in quality metrics has been doing good business as there are no competition. And some of them sell in very high numbers - sometimes even attaining cult status and creating a dedicated fan base. At the same time there were and are bikes which, despite being far superior, failed to top the chart.
    Let's wish Mojo a warm good-luck!

It's certainly not that simple! For selling any bike, quality, performance, support and pricing are most important factors. Now, whether a particular product justifies the price tag it has, a number of things need to be looked into. I'm not a big fan of Mahindra two-wheelers and their never ending delay in launching the Mojo. But, now that Mojo has been launched, will keep an eye on it.

You guys can debate all the parameters that you can think of. I just came back from a 2-day 600 km ride to Chikmagalur - the first Mojo Tribe ride. I am very happy to have experienced the bike for this long a duration before purchase. I did 110 - 130 all day and even at 9K rpm there are no vibes or harsh sounds. Great comfort - only bug is the windblast - I have to find some solution to it.

Instead of debating on this silly topic for the next 10 pages, go take a test ride. Far more effective way to build opinions.

Wind blast was a big problem especially for tall people. At 110 plus I was being pushed back very strongly from the chest area upwards. There is nothing to duck behind either and this is the first thing to fix imo.
It seems Mahindra will be releasing accessories and a windscreen will be among those.
As for fuel efficiency I think I got around 30 (constant ripping to try and keep up with others) but these are media test ride bikes that have always been treated harshly. I am sure I can do much better on my own bike

Yes but I also have a P200 Dtsi for the city duties. It has more vibrations ( = soul then) than I will ever need.
One bike to move the body - Mojo and another bike to move (vibrate?) the soul and the body and everything else including its own parts - P200

Leave the keyboard riding and test ride it to believe it. There're all type of customers. Some will see money/power figure first quality second. For them Already Duke is there. Use and Throw bike. A bike which made quality bikes impossible to come in Indian market due to price war. Mojo was supposed to come with Brembo/Paioli combo but obviously price is over quality for Indians. I've also owned and sold 390 mainly because of quality issues and unrefined engine. Lesson well learnt: pay few Gandhi more for quality than power. Yes we obviously want everything for free
Also Mahendra takes 5 years but provides us an awesome engine but Bajaj even after a decade produces engine like NS

OT- You mean to say that performance bikes were dime a dozen in Indian market before the advent of dukes!!! It is only after the success of Duke that others have woken up to the demand in this segment. Or else we would still be having splendors for ride n N300 for walls.
Pulsar NS is still quite an improvement over previous generation pulsars and if you were expecting crossplane tech in bajaj then you are bound to be disappointed. And how could you expect a single cylinder 44hp pumping behemoth to be smooth n refined??
The problem here is perception, if a v-twin on ducati vibrates, it's labelled as character, and for hyosung, harsh, unrefined.

I am yet to test ride a Mojo, if it is better than what it promises on paper then it is good for competition. Hopefully if Mahindra can pull up it's ASS, we may have a winner here. Regarding the pricing, if the initial reviews are to be believed, the quality of components is said to be very good, this alone makes it worth.
                              Goodluck to Mojo n Mahindra

Not all of us have pockets full of cash to buy and maintain those overpriced bikes and their spares, hell we cant even properly enjoy the ride because we are worried most of the time.
You dont like it, dont buy it.
And its bajaj who have revolutionarised indian biking market, fine i argee they dont have the best quality but its because of them you getting affordable higher cc bikes today.

P.S - i am not a fan of bajaj, but i do respect them.
