The one & only solution is to go for Yamaha according to me.... atleast they have a good reputation among all the bikers & wont give these kind of cheap gimmicks!!!!!!

Couldn't have agreed more. Pulsar as a series is done for good. Bajaj shud think something for a long term plan now. Short term developments though have to continue till we actually have a new platform

Upgrades are for those who are looking for new bike and an improved one at that. Not for those who have recently bought a bike and now want that a company should hang up with the same model for years to come so that these customers don't loose their exclusivity. Where in the world has an auto maker asked its customer to not buy a product because they were going to launch a new one very soon? Development is the name of the game my friend and we shouldn't really crib about the same. Think ahead and think positive. Bajaj is asking you to look at its improved product but I am sure nobody can make you do it and you can certainly turn your thumbs down and that will be an indication enough for Bajaj. But still I will prefer Bajaj and TVS over HOnda and Yamaha who for years have given us the same boring product year after year on the name of their global brand image.

Hey if the new one is only rs 3000 more then maybe we can retrofit the 220 clipons+ fatter forks on to our old 200's for cheap....

And if anyone can find out how they managed to extract more power from the same engine? As that would help owners of existing 180's/200s'/whatevers.

                Guys Relax, why the arguement?

See, ZMA outsold the P220, merely because P220 is sold in only some Probiking Cities & ZMA in every city ... I wanted P220, but couldn't get it! Reason? I'm in a Small City with no Probiking ... Isn't that enough reason?

Even with some problems like heating & vibrations, we ride our Pulsars, we love the noisy & punchy engine. It's serving my purpose fine! Everyday I ride hard & fast, reach college in 7-8 minutes, and overtake tons of cars & bikes of all types. and check the Mileage, I get around 40, which is just fine.. Isn't that just fine for me?

We expect perfection out of our bikes, but are we ourselves perfect?

Bottom Line is that there is still 15k+ difference between R15 & P220, and also, that R15 is a great bike, best bike made in India maybe...

Better things are pricier, others are not. BUT a Market is made by all of them together...

Forgive me the "Greatest" I have better things to do and work on rather then engage myself with someone like you who puts his opinions as facts and then dares someone to argue against his "opinions". Your opinions are to be taken as such, just opinions and as I said earlier opinions hardly matter to me specially if they come from someone who cant back them up with "facts".

ZMA has outsold P220 even in major cities like Delhi, Pune! good enough?

Anyways, my writing is not gonna stop any company from making what they feel like is correct!

@Sumit512: Whenever a new bike is launched, pulsar is the only bike which has the most number of initial niggles! and i m not making this up.

                      2 Thumbs Down

So not cool, so not cool Where's the justification to all us 200 owners who spent so much for on our steeds?? Absolute tosh (extremely subdued adjectives used) tactics by Bajaj. What next they'll give the 220 fairing to the XCD 125? I don't at all understand their face lifts strategy these days.

I partially agree with your opinion..

P220's lesser sales compared to ZMA has obviously something to do with ProBiking dealership but if this is the "only" reason then I'm sure Bajaj would have addressed it by now & would have opened up sales of P220 on other dealerships.. this is not a small point to be missed by a company like bajaj!!

Better things come pricier... It's not true, I don't wanna get into brand wars here.. but the simple fact is that P220 has still not out-classed Karizma in terms of overall experience of ownership.. Latest BIKE mag will give u a clear pic... we're going OT anyway..

^^ Dude brilliant!! Now why did'nt i think of something like that?? Talk about reversal of roles, people used to mod their bikes to make it look like a new model, but Bajaj is making people like us do the opposite
