New p180 thats great.............but I dont understand bajaj.........people are going for p200,p220 now ,why will anyone buy p180 if it has nothing much different from p180v3.Three bikes in one premium segment and that too with 20cc differences........its making them cheap.

They could phase out the p180 with honour and not in the face of slow death by humiliation aka low sales and slow stock moving,I posses a p180,I cant take it.

These design flair should be given to the P150 who is giving a real fight for the segment alone against the likes of FZ16.Bajaj pls revamp P150.

Jeez! I pity the current Pulsar owners.

2)Thou shalt respect one's own life and the live's of other road users.

4)Love thy bike as thy self.
          5)Always wear safety gear.
          6)Alcohol is a strict NO!
7)Thou may lust after thy neighbour's bike specially if its of the R1 kind!
8)Thou shalt ride with 'ultra-most' care and caution when on Indian roads.
9)Thou shalt never leave the engine running at long traffic halts.
10)Thou shalt follow all of the above.

God! Another new variant of the Pulsar series? What is the need of the P200 carb as well as P200 FI?

If the P200 carb is removed and 220 is tweaked - design as well as performance wise, then the portfolio looks ok to me. It will mean the whole Pulsar series has been updated for 2009 (even if some models do not get any performance upgrades).

              AFAIK, it s like this.

150 - All Black theme including forks and Nitrox canisters , Tank Flaps of 200 , Raised Decals for the Tank.

180 - Wider rear tyre , Naked chain , Clip Ons , 260 mm Disc of the 200/220 , Tank Flaps of 200 , Raised Decals

200 - One with 220's Forks, Clip ons , Rear Disc, 220 's Fairings , the other with the same except the RD and Fairing

              220 - All Black theme

As far as the power tweaks go(if any), nobody knows the exact figures yet

p180------will the tyre be tube-less just like P200????

i wonder if the such specifications r given 2 p180 will it be able 2 pull itself........i mean the weight has increased now...the performance will go down

                      • what???!!! another upgrade by devouring its elder sibling??? man....now i am really wary of buying a P200. It was an option for me till now....but not anymore...a boon for new bike buyers and a bane for the existing owners...

Why did Bajaj do this to me.... this is so unfair!

I have a bad habit of gazing at bikes and trying to find out their make from the slightest view! I will surely have a tough time now....

Jeez! Btw as a shareholder I think its a nice strategy... Bajaj is offloading ALL its inventory that it had piled up thanks to the Mass Manufacturing mode of operations... but i really expect p220 to have some sort of upgrade... How about using some parts from XCD 135?

                              • Potential Pulsar buyer walks into a showroom... spends 30 mins.. comes out confused.. walks into [insert any other manufacture here besides bajaj here] showroom.. rides out on [now insert a model by that inserted manufacture here] in 5 mins.

seriously.. this is going to be really confusing for buyers.
