This is bad news for P200 and P220 owners, absolutely no exclusivity for the premium bike owners.
Bajaj had promised new bike launch every month this year and seems like they have already launched 4 bikes this year(XCD135,P150,180,200).All these upgrades for P150/180/200 means that they are going to discontinue P220 and launch totally new bike may be 250cc.

Plus the embarassment of owning a "Pulsar" (No offences pls. just stressed out a bit by the move made by Bajaj)

to be frank , there never was an exclusivity.just minor differences , think about the new buyers. The changes have been made to compete with the rivals.yes the existing owner won't feel good but hasn't this happened before while previous transitions - v1/v2/v3 and now v4 , people will still buy it.

^^ Bajaj got away with it all these years when they had only 2 bikes in their Pulsar stable and they upgraded it with always the 180 having the all-black theme, and still so those two were more of twins rather than different bikes, but today it has grown to a four-bike stable and apart from the 150/180 the 200 and 220 are quite different and IMO deserve a seperate stable, also each change or upgrade (The way bajaj is doing right now) may lose Bajaj it's upgrading customers no? AFAIK many 220 owners are previous P150/P180 or even P200 owners

like most of you here, i too dont like what bajaj is doing. i would love to see better nad newer products from them, but look at it from pov of a guy who is in market for a new bike. these upgrades do make sense. at the end of the day its all about profits and market share. they cant just make completly new bikes for us petrol heads to go ga-ga. I bought a bike a few months back n dint even consider the 180 for a moment. but if it was now, i would surely go to the showroom n take a closer look before deciding on a bike.

@Trigger: See you are the perfect example of why Pulsar is still able to bring in it's share of the market. I'm not meaning it in a bad sense, but i know people looking for a new bike are mostly indecisive and flit from one brand to another for every little upgrade even if they have a clear sense of what they want, even i used to do that, i wanted to go for a ZMA (actually i should have, but that apart) just so it had a new sticker work. And also people with a slightly lesser budget are greatly advantaged by the "big-bike" looks upgrades on these bikes. In my viewpoint this will have a tremendous surge in sales for the first few months and then will slowly come down.

What you say cannot be refuted with but tell me honestly when you bought your 200 were'nt you not proud of it's exclusivity that came with it? And also every product has it's image and aesthetic value no? So if a P180 is going to come out with P200's forks, rear tyres, swingarms and rear sets then what is the value of the 200? It's rear discs? In that sense they are actually killing off the 200. But loving your bike is totally different and in that sense i will have to agree with you

wt the heck!!! now my p180 and p150- HAS NO DIFFERENCE INFACT IT HAS GOT P200 CLIPONS !!1THIS IS SHIT MAN!!!

I JUST SAW P150 IN SIDHIVINAYAK SHOWROOM IN HYD SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THOUGHT IT WAS 180 BUT IT WAS 150 WITH NEW STEEL STICKERS

I think they have plans of stopping this great pulsar series..........so ug4 should be the last upgrade

they will start with new ninja 250

                                Good upgrade.

Now P180 is even more VFM. for just 3k extra u gat a clip on, split seat, meaty fork, rearsets, Big ass tyre and a split grab rail. And a slight teak in the power!

                                Way to go bajaj!

P.s - Stop cribbing abt p200 parts going nto p180. Bajaj is giving its customers better options. be happy for the new customers.
