^^ Exactly, same thing has happened with a friend of mine who had a pulsarmania bug, but was so tired of 150/180/200 looking almost similar, he went and bought an RTR/FI!!

Is this a real advert? I highly doubt it. In my opinion this is fake, just a collage of scenes from the movie and other stuff. Slam me if I am wrong.
Yes this is real advert but quality is bad. It is now coming on tv.

oh god this is crazy!!!! totally insane.
@ current 200 owners:
no words!!!
if the new 180 is selling for more price than the current 180, it could have been a wiser decision to adopt some technology from the bigger pulsars like oil cooler and fi instead of all this. just my personal thought!!
saj[-_-]you wanna know me?

I think Bajaj are quite clever by making the 180 look like its bigger siblings.
Think about it majority of pulsar owners are not on xbhp and majority of pulsar owners are not riding the 200 and 220.
Now that the 180 and 150 look cooler and have parts from the bigger bikes people are going to be happier buying these bikes, which is what bajaj want. The bikes that make them the most money to sell the most.
I'm sure they had some sorta market research and most people said i want the new 180 to look like the 200/220.
This has a negative effect on current 200 owners who loose exclusitivity, but 200 upgrades are no far away. So new 180's and 200's are gonna be different. and how many 200 owners are going to replace their bikes just cos a newer version is out. I know I'm not, cos I'm still having fun on my 200 and will for a while to come.
Just cos someone elses bike looks better or is faster than mine does not make me feel bad. But thats just me. If that was the case I'll land up hating all things I poscess. My xbox360 is no longer as powerful as a PC, my cell phone does not have GPS, my AC only has 2 stars, my girlfriend gained weight, my crate of beer is half empty.

So now they ALL look the same! Great!
I used to admire Bajaj in the earlier stages of the pulsar.I liked their business strategy then, coming out with major upgrades to their pulsar range, but now... I don't know what's up with them.
I guess they want to cater just to the mass markets and forgot about us bikers!

I just don't get it with many post made here at all. If they upgrade the bike with gizmos from their higher bikes and give it at affordable price, isn't it for consumer?
If tomorrow Govt. of India drops the excise duty to almost nill and you can buy Yamaha R1 for 1/2 the price it is now, does it mean that it is unfair for all the current SBK owners and they are cheated, Yamaha should keep the price high so that they not cheat the current owners?
How many of you have gone through the product cycle of products like CPU, graphic cards, mobile phones? minor upgrades is how they sell products..
What exclusivity are we talking about a bike which is sold in thousands or more...if you want exclusivity get a SBK or a bike which no one buys
Most of you bought a bike because you needed that bike, if bajaj brings upgraded bike to market does it mean you don't need your current bike anymore?

Disappointed...The only saving grace is the power bump which i didn't expect for P180, but with additional weight and wider tyre it would hardly be any faster than the previous gen..what say!!
It would be interesting to see what BAJAJ has in store for the P220, My guess is to plonk in the Ninja fairing!!

Ok, leaving OT's for the moment. Now since even more parts are shared between the Pulsars this should mean a further drop in spare parts prices?? Economies of scale being exploited to the max!
As a personal opinion I don't really care much for these cosmetic changes, as long I know that when I twist the wrist all the differences become visible/perceptible!

atleast it is not just a sticker update but with a reasonable bump up in power
I heard the new 150 will be along the edges of 15bhp
Also anyone knows about the 2009 200/220???Last edited by bobby_wish59; 04-22-2009, 11:24 AM.Be what you are, not what you want others to perceive you to be.

Rightly said. I thought most of the bikers on XBHP were performance loving, only now do I realise that most are "exclusivity" loving and dont give a damn to the performance etc. This upgrade ultimately is going to help us all coz others are bound to situp and take notice and do their own upgrades which in long run means better bikes for us all.Originally posted by DarthVeda View PostI just don't get it with many post made here at all. I want to ASK A QUESTION to many of you ... Now, when new P180's price is increased by 3000 rupees, isn't it justified that P180 owner gets something from P200 parts, when he is paying only 2000 rupees less than current P200?
Think from the new P180 owner's point of view, who will pay about 73k, only 2000 bucks far away from a new P200. He expects features, doesn't he, specially in the RTR era?
If you say that "innovation" is gone, then that's a problem with all INDIAN companies... RTR 180, looks like 160 and so on. No one can do anything about it.---

Isn't there a new P200 in the pipeline too? If that's true, then I guess there should be a bump the P200's pricing too.
Also keeping in mind that we Indians are very mileage concious, there will be takers for the 180 considering that it will be more efficient than the 200!_________________________
