Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
Going by the media review, I think it is possible to charge a bit premium for the spares.Originally posted by chans02 View PostAny idea about service costs and spare parts costs?
Are they gonna charge premium for this bike?

Seating : More agressive than the R3 but way better than the RC.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostJust a general opinion about the ride, in terms of everyday usage.
Gearbox : 55kmph@6th gear without knocking, possible!
Head dissipation : Engine runs normal, not much heating.
Brakes : Epic bite but average feel on the front, very good rear feedback and bite. ABS doesn't intrude at all like the RC. Front brake feel on the R3 still remains my fav.
Engine : Eager to rev! It's again not as smooth as R3 but way smoother than the RC.
My fav gears are the 3rd and 4th gears! The pull is hilariously good! From 30 to 106 and 41 to 129 is fun! 5th and 6th, I could only use once while trying to make the engine knock!
Seats : Very good padding! If you've ever sat on the RTR200 you'll know what I'm talking about.
Overall : New champion in that segment. The bike looks like a 600cc, thrills of a RC and comfortable as a R3
The bike needs service every 10000kms afaik! The spares aren't as cheap as the RTRs but not expensive either. You can see the bmw logo on most of parts.Originally posted by chans02 View PostAny idea about service costs and spare parts costs?

Thanks. Any idea about rear seat comfort or practicality? I had ninja 300 and the pillion seating was quite comfortable. How is it compared to Ninja?Originally posted by JS16 View PostSeating : More agressive than the R3 but way better than the RC.

Rear seat i did not try out. But, it's so small only a class 5 student can sit by the looks of it. Though it is soft.Originally posted by chans02 View PostThanks. Tyre Pressure Of Akula

Wide Seat looks a bit similar to RTR200

Is that a guard for the radiator?

Agreed!!! This is not a volume segment. I see hardly 20k KTM’s moving per monthly average.Originally posted by tirebuster View PostThey do not have a factory in Chennai anymore AFAIK. They shut down their plant in Padi (which now falls under Chennai's city limits).
With these RR 310 motorcycles, the sales are going to be low because it is in the premium segment. It is difficult to guess RR 310 - specific capacity, but I would safely assume anywhere between 10,000 to 20,000 per annum would be a safe bet. Anything more than 20K per annum sales would be a windfall for TVS especially given the fact that in this segment, volumes cannot be expected - at least in India where most people cannot afford a 2.25 L ($3500) motorcycle.
My concern was whether TVS will be able to produce at least 10K a month. I wasn’t sure of their plants and their capacity. Also they need to produce more numbers of BMW’s too. Maybe roughly 25 to 35k combined per month. No??
These need more time and better components to produce each unit. So, wanted to check on these, so could guesstimate delivery times [emoji7]
This will be the future 150 segment. I think they have to ramp up their factories and business models accordingly. Not just TVS. Everyone.Last edited by kris123456; 12-12-2017, 04:16 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
So they also suggest the 0-100 kmph comes around 6.1/6.2 seconds like Powerdrift. But TVS and many others claim 7.1 seconds. Wonder who is closer to the real number..Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Posthttps://www.rushlane.com/tvs-apache-...-12258413.html
Good review with factual conclusions.
