Man, you enjoy teasing us don't you? Ok by how much is the power bumped? My guess 24 bhp for the 220, 20 bhp for the 200

And the 200 finally looks like the 220 right?

The power figure is about 21bhp it shouldn't be more than that... it's only the gearing that has been changed. Got the news from some reliable source and about the carburetted version see my previous post on page no.3

                > The moneycontrol.com says 'over 140kmph' and not 145kmph, It is not clear if the speed claimed is true speed or speedo indicated, Bajaj is not even giving correct figure (be it true or indicated) by saying 'over140kmph', why not 150kmph or why not 160kmph ?
                > People are saying that new Pulsars have manipulated (embedded errors) speedos than earlier, so we can't comment on speed untill some one measures it on reliable testing equipment.
                > I personally feel sorry for DTSFi owners, they paid more, they got less, what say ? Will re-sale of DTSFi plummet on this news ?
                > Has Bajaj admitted that DTSFi on P220 was not reliable ? was it reliable in first place ?

Nope! Haven't heard so anywhere. Only the sensors were acting up in the earlier batches. It was the Apache FI unit which had niggling issues.

I personally feel bad for everything that everyone ever bought. Damn! Why does the word 'upgrade' exist in this world.....

I agree that BAJAJ is feeling the pinch too hard, but then this is not a good idea at all!! In fact they might earn disrespect from all those "morons" who bought a 220 for its Fi (knowing the advantages)! And this coming up at a time when almost all niggles have been ironed out is sending a negative message. If any of u feel different am sorry, but this is just IMO. They cud have instead spent all their R&D to extract performance out of the Fi unit and beef up the chassis/suspension and given a much worthier cruiser. Then we would have had an RTR/R15 competitor. Till then they will be just that - BAJAJ!

Yeah, Bajaj s policies suck. Bajaj doesnt have any reason to why it should keep it s current customers happy.

They wanted to make premium bikes cheaper. Nothing wrong with that.

I think P220 DTSi is a desperate attempt at R15/FZ/RTR180, not well thought out plan I guess, Bajaj feels they can clinch market by playing with 'price' and sell 'speed'. Let's see what happens.

Sigh! Seems many are seriously believing what CNBC says. What came to my mind when I saw this thread was, "Ninja launch as a competitor with price at 1 lakh."
