Nobody is talking about P200 upgrade??
Yes xbhpians are always interested in POWER.
Whats the AVG?
Fi was a boon for touring. Even after being reeppeedd to the max this babe would return a healthy 30-35kmpl. Other bike ridden to the max also returns the same(atleast my RTR does)
Pee200 returned 25-29kmpl in touring.....wonder how much would the carb 220 will avg....20-25 may be?

Anyways, if this news is even 1% true...
Than, as predicted, P220 would be carbed and tweaked...
and in all probablity replace p200...
And FI would find a way in a 'new' bike....!
Biggest bajaj customer (happy) i know!
He hates honda to the max

Aryan's P200 returned something like 50KMPL at 4000 mts altitude through rivers and offroad and snow riding mostly on 2nd and 3rd and at times on 1st. Just check on his Spiti thread.Originally posted by onlinesatish View Post

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Kriss's, booo's and sagar's Pee200 never returned above 33kmpl while on ride......most of the times rpm's were flying past 8-9k!
Wonder how aryan manages to get such good mileage! Mind starting a thread for it aryan?

p220 when ripped to the max gives 38-42 kmpl , p200 in the same run gives 34-37 kmpl . And this data has come with 20000kms+ touring runs , everytime the p220 and p200 were there and returned these mileages.Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostFi was a boon for touring. There IS no requirement for any new thread Satish. Simple enough - smoothness is the key. Heck, I managed to get about 22 kilometres to a litre from a certain 1000cc beast known around the world as the R1!Originally posted by onlinesatish View Post

Mileage is highly subjective and is largely dependent on state of tune, fuel quality, riding style and ambient climate/geographic conditions! The parts in bold being the most important variables!
Lets not talk about mileage till someone actually gets hold of this baby!
OT: Recently my 220 gave me the best mileage that a Swift VDI can manage in the last 400 odd kms!

I'm taking this news with a pinch of salt, since this is not an official announcement by Bajaj, there is a lot of speculation mixed into it too.
Btw, talks about R15 being the fastest in everything 0-60, 0-100 were also pure speculations. The official statement was its performance would be better than 2 segments above it&so it did achieve.
Coming back to the 220, I'm interested in seeing what the fastest Indian bike is gonna be like!
Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Rs. 70,000 huhhh they must have removed Fi, rear disc brakes, projection lamp...may be they have put DTS Si engine of XCD...

This happens everytime a bike is about to launch. More often than not, the reality is a dampener.
About the time 220 was to be launched, there were lots of things flying about, but 220 delivered only what its price tag allowed it to do (VFM for sure)
When the R15 was about to launch, people were comparing it to Ninja, leave alone a 220.(Remember the 22ps specs
)
The Apache RTR 180 is another case in point.
Its best we wait till 23rd before giving our 'judgements' on what Bajaj can and cannot do.

The p220 will loose its individuality.....the only thing separating the two bikes was the FI.....
