    Few important features of the new Pulsar 220:

    - Improved DTS-Si engine for faster combustion and better efficiency.

    - Oval Pent Roof Combustion Chamber for maximizing charge density in the flame propagation path to achieve near complete combustion with lean air fuel ratios.

    - Molykote Piston reduces the friction and improves engine efficiency.

    - ExhausTEC to deliver more torque and reduce gear changes in city drving.

    - 5- Speed Tansmission to ensure that the engine runs in the most efficient driving zone.

              Mr.Bajaj did not mention anything as such. Although, he did mention that the Fi 220 will NOT be phased out, for sure. Both the P220s will be available in the showrooms.

              One thing to note is that Mr.Bajaj did mention that the Ninja 250 will be launched, in all probability in the next 3 months!

                If it is not too much to ask, can you find out if they are carrying over the changes to the newer batches of FI 220 too!

                  Guys, Just got a small update from one of the pro-biking managers about P-200 that there will be no more of them in production and also bajaj has asked them to sell off the existing 200's fast as they can so they can move in the new 220's!! What a tactic!!

                      Makes even more sense now that both Carb and FI will co-exist together!

                      Why go for the 200 when you can get all what it has and more at the same cost, but they stand on loosing out on the beautiful looks of the 200!

                        Looks like Bajaj is going the track-oriented way.

                        * Stiffer suspension front and back.
                        * Front rake revised.
                        * Larger front fork.
                        * Grippier rubber.
                        * Narrower power/torque band.
                        * Roll on figures lesser.

                        ..which is why I said in the other thread that current P200 still retain their identity.
                        P200 still is the best looking bike overall, IMHO.

                            +1 for this question. Since the FI P220 with these specs is a more complete package for those who can shell out more.
