Last night I got up in the middle of the night, had a terrible dream, dream't that I was running towards my bike and saw someone else ride away with it. Couldn't sleep after it, till I went down and found my bike where I had left it.

Come on RTO people, why don't you understand that people like me need their set of wheels to feel complete.

RTO approval in Bangalore done, finally, manager from Khivraj called me and told me that I can pick up my bike on Friday. Can't wait till then.

    Whoa.......
Wow.. people do love the Pulsars.. I' feel proud to be a future member of this esteem club. I'm sure 2 years from now we all will remember this big RTO fiasco!

I wanted to book the bike as soon as it was launched. Thought that I would complete my vacations and after coming back there won't be much waiting as by that time the crowd would have vanished, but then rest is history.

I would say you guys should be thrilled, for people like me who were waiting for this bike for past 6 months.. got to book it so late!

I wonder when will I get my bike.. BTW what's the initial lot's Priority Number at Khivraj?

Just to let you know, how long is the queue, my no. is PUL31220, and I intend to a Blue beast.

      • But the thing is.. there is no news yet here in Maharashtra.. I am only the 18th person in line.. but not even the 1st 1 has recieved a bike yet...
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

          Hi,
I was down there at Khivraj last evening, wanted to get a look at my bike before they sent it for registration. Its a black beauty in all black, the sales guy told me that he had over 180 bookings, he has stock of about 40 bikes right now, which he would be delivering today and tomorrow as the RTO approval came last evening. He said that all the bikes were said for and that he did not even have one spare, I got the bike the bike they had put up in the first floor, display, the one least touched by anyone. They will deliver it to me as the first few customers get the bike from the COO of Khivraj, look forward to that, I just want my bike. Whoa......

I though RTO approval was already over in Maharashtra.

                        • A Few Suggestions for the Maintenance 220 DTS-i

HI guys, can u help with the maintenance and break in ways, knew that there is not a big difference with its predecessor but then there is a small difference which needs to be taken care.
The slow process of breaking in with a speed limit of 60 or something is really boring and mundane.
Also i just heard from a 220 mech that Motul which costs around 700-750 is a good oil(Dont know if its the best).

Ofcourse, i am also the fastest indian(A Red Beast)...lol........There can only be one fastest.

Now with the problems, after the first drive.
                          1) Mileage was around less than 25kpl......Had 2 litres from the service center and the bike stopped with 49km on the odo, had to take a bottle to the Petrol station. didnt rip much...max was 75kmph only once and was always below or around 60.
                          2) There is a big distressing handle shake when the handle is idle at more than 40kph.
                          3) some hissing sound(probably Front shocks...Not sure) when the throttle is up and down.
                          4) Finally the MAIN STAND...No need exp.

Congratulations for the new bike mate! I could suggest a couple of things here:
My P220 is 2 day old.... in city i stick to the 60kmph routine but when i find an empty street, i rev it to some 7K once in a while (did that a couple of times) but only a short burst and then let it come down to about 2k on it's own without clutch or break (you wanna watch out for vehicles coming behind though).
As for the fuel economy.... some of the petrol remains in the carb and hence u stopped at 49 kms. Tank up man! don't look for economy during run-in period.
For oil, use only mineral oil for atleast 2000-3000 kms.
For handle shake and funny sound, check with SVC

                            Cheers
