wen the bike starts my rpm would be around 1.5.....till it reaches 1,7 i have to wait everytime....what if i have an emergency?? damn this autochoke
dude 1.5 rpm works fine in my bike.. .no problem with auto choke. wait till the first service. mine just came out of 1st service. now even better than before.and nice pics. something unbelievable dude. i checked the mileage . got around 60.(408 km)50%highway and 50%city top speed 55kmph. till 250 km got below 25kmpl. then took it to probiking and reset the rpm to correct level, filled the tank. now completed 640 km. the fuel gauge has come down 2 points only.

Don't believe the Fuel Guage readings.. they aren't totally accurate. If possible measure the fuel efficiency by the tank-top to tank-top method.

              • Since this is Carb. you can take Reserve to Reserve much more accurate than Tank top to Tank top

Reserve to reserve should do and more convinient

@vinoth86 : below 25kmpl is OK as the bike is new, it will improve with time. ARAI has certified P220 DTSi FE at 56kmpl, so expect atleast 50kmpl after 2nd service. ARAI's figures are close to reality. Remember, almost all cars give ARAI FE figures on road as well, so going by ARAI's reputation, I have no doubt that your bike will fetch about 50kmpl.

                    • Mileage of the P220 DTSi

A mileage figure of around 35-38 kmpl will be a more realistic expectation..
you can't expect a bike to be the fastest and return 50 kmpl at the same time.

The Digital fuel gauges aren't accurate.. don't depend totally on it.

i just rode the new 180 ,first thing i noticed was the massively heavy front end compared to the fz16, my friend told me that all pulsars are that way ,is the 220 front handle bars heavy also ,
did you get adjusted to the weight difference from the fz

well i have heard that the front end is rectified...however i am having wrist pains wich is quite obvious wen shifting to a new bike.also for me the handles are too smal in width...so am gonna put on that rubber grippy covers on them....
