I was hoping they bought something on the lines of the P200, because I love the looks of the P200 (like many of us here), but I guess they have passed on the looks to the P180, rather than upgrade the P200.Originally posted by ceasar View Postu already have it

These are unbiased comments - I feel the 180 has lost something while it took over the looks of the 200. Does not have the naked butch looks anymore. More like the regular 150/180 siblings.Originally posted by Aryan View PostI was hoping they bought something on the lines of the P200, because I love the looks of the P200 (like many of us here), but I guess they have passed on the looks to the P180, rather than upgrade the P200.sigpic

an upgrade was necessary for both the bikes..but they phased out p200 and upgraded 180 ..so that it would be economicalOriginally posted by Aryan View PostI was hoping they bought something on the lines of the P200, because I love the looks of the P200 (like many of us here), but I guess they have passed on the looks to the P180, rather than upgrade the P200.-------------------------------

Exhaust and macho looks are missingOriginally posted by Aryan View PostI was hoping they bought something on the lines of the P200, because I love the looks of the P200 (like many of us here), but I guess they have passed on the looks to the P180, rather than upgrade the P200.

If they (Bajaj) would have bought the P220 with the looks of the P200 (with the features of the P220), it would have been absolutely awesome.
If not that, then perhaps another "version" of P220 which looked like the P200 would have sealed the deal for people like us who still feel the P200 is one of the best looking motorcycles this industry has produced (along with the wonderfully designed FZ ofcourse.
)

Mutually contradicting statements by Bajaj... According to the link i have provided in the first post, Bajaj officials are clearly stating that they are phasing out the P200 and here we have a Sales guy (sales guys usually have access to inside information) who is painting a different picture altogether...Originally posted by saj View Postnew p200 coming.. a sales guy at khivraj bajaj(b'lore) told me.
will come with fi, mono shocks, clip ons etc!!
i personally dont trust sales guys but still mentioned it here!

@ saj: Try to push the sales guy and churn out more info, maybe bajaj is coming out with a new bike with the mentioned specs, if i remember correctly they said somewhere that they would be launching a number of bikes this year.Last edited by blisteringintelligence; 07-17-2009, 07:35 PM.

What looks are you talking about?Apart from the exhaust what differences?Originally posted by silver_falcon_46 View PostThese are unbiased comments - I feel the 180 has lost something while it took over the looks of the 200. The p180UG4 has meatier forks which add to its masculine looks

Pavan, agreed the 180 has inherited the looks of the P200 but even then, that "something" seems to be missing from making it a total P200 lookalike. Perhaps, that missing exhaust, or may be something else, but there surely seems to be something missing.Originally posted by pavanchirmade View PostWhat looks are you talking about?Apart from the exhaust what differences?

The p180UG4 has meatier forks which add to its masculine looksThe way the front scoops are positioned on the 180 and 200 look different, on the 180 they seem to point more down. On the 200 instead the tail section's lines and the lines on the front scoop seem to be in sync. This itself is change totally the way the bike looks.Originally posted by Aryan View PostPavan, agreed the 180 has inherited the looks of the P200 but even then, that "something" seems to be missing from making it a total P200 lookalike. Then does the new 180 have the same wheelbase as the 200? For some reason in my mind when I picture the 200 is does look bigger.
Did the 180 get the rearsets of the 200 too?_________________________
