I was in Chennai last weekend. So went to probiking showroom in ADYAR and had a look at the ninja. Both green and black were on display there. I had decided that i will go for Green once it reaches bangalore!
I had a chat with showroom attendents. One thing surprised me big time: No free services. All 7 servies are paid (aapx 1500 bucks each).
But then this wont be a detrent for me to buy the bike
Yep, you gotta pay a premium price for it right from the time you buy it to the time you get it serviced.

One thing that bothered me about it is the ground clearance. While the clearance is good for international roads, there are times when we encounter weirdly big speed breakers on our roads and despite trying to get past them very slow or even diagonally, the lower part touches the speed breaker humps for sure.

Same here. Heating can be taken care of, but if the mono suspension link gets damaged, that would be a HUGE cost to pay for going over a speedbreaker!

Exactly same time I was making my booking. Can I ask what name you booked under. That will enable me to chase up when I can expect my deliveries

I was fearing the same I do come across many ill-fated speed breakers on my daily commute which are kind of manageable for our local bikes but not baby ninja. For this reason, I have started to chart the 'path of least resistance' (troughs/gaps) or worse, an alternate route to ease my future rides.
