        @bluevolt, give us a sit-rep??
Well, I just came back from Indiranagar and had a look at the site. My boss must be wondering that I eat lunch outside a lot these days .

Update: There was still some ambiguity on which building was the site for the new probiking. I had actually zeroed on two sites and I had posted pictures of one of the buildings on this thread. But today I found out that it is not the one... the actual building is the one 5-6 buildings away from one I had originally mentioned and is on the other side of road opposite the Reliance trends shoe shop. There is no doubt whatsoever on the location now because they have put up a cloth 'Bajaj probiking coming soon' banner outside the site.

But the building is far from complete. False ceiling, wiring, flooring nothing has been done yet, and right now the workers are just trying to finish the structure. I could see work going on at a frentic pace, and there are still around 20 days to go, so I think they will be able to finish it if they keep at it. Because the building is not very big anyway, and has only a main ground floor and a mezzanine.

Thanks for the update. I did have a look at the previous building after you had posted the pics...but was not sure since a sales executive from Khivraj Motors had mentioned the location of the new showroom to be somewhere around the Reliance Trends outlet. I'm planning to visit THE showroom tomorrow as it is located near my office...can't wait to see the showroom come alive...hopefully in dec first week I can book my ninja baby...keeping my fingers crossed.

Actually the building I mentioned earlier is closer to Reliance footprint as compared to the actual site. I had seen the actual building before but it looked in such an early stage of construction that I dismissed it thinking there was no way this could be ready by November end. But it turns out I was wrong...But I saw a lot of people working on it and looking very busy, so they might be able to pull this off. I hope that they have already got(or getting) the sales tax numbers and commercial power/water connections, since that is something which takes longer.

Thanx for the update buddy... lemme know if the older plan of pitching a tent there is still on

Actually I am veering slightly towards the Black color these days... there is only one reason for that. I have already started browsing for after market carbon fibre visual mods for the Ninja, and I can't imagine the Green Ninja taking CF parts very well due to clash in color. Carbon fibre parts always look the best on black motorcycles, followed by red.

I have been checking out this Japanese brand called A-tech (a-tech.org) which makes tons of cool CF Ninja 250R visual mods. Some examples:

Though the examples show the Kawasaki green Ninja, I think these mods will look waaay better on black. Ditto for CF coated Yoshi muffler. In a black you can also make the rims gold and then the Ninja will really look bad ass.

I will take a final call when I see the black and green Ninja side by side in the Delhi showroom later this month!

Yeah, it's on There is so much construction going on in Indiranagar that no one will notice an extra tent...people will probably think we are daily wage laborers with great taste in motorcycles

The visual mods look really cool. I'm too a fan of the Yoshi's..but wouldn't want to void the warranty. I was wondering though why none of the existing/prospect owners were planning to buy the frame sliders. I'm considering the Shogun No Cut Carbon S5 model (see below). These frame sliders are manufactured in USA and suit the carb model...I presume they would fit fine for the FI model unless there is a difference between their internal assembly...can anyone confirm this?

From what I read on the net, fixing a frame slider on the 250R is not exactly effortless. I have read that you have to cut a hole in the sprocket cover and also replace the factory fitted iron thread with the aftermarket one. One of the Kawasaki forums on the net has this process mapped out in detail for another brand of frame sliders called intuitive:

DIY: Install Intuitive Frame Sliders : KawiForums.com Kawasaki Forums: Kawasaki motorcycle forums

And also for the Shogun frame sliders...
                      http://www.kawiforums.com/ninja-250r...tallation.html

I think it will be very difficult and frustrating for me to even get started on getting the Shogun frame sliders on the bike. And in the absence of proper DIY tools, a novice (like me and most of us) would end up doing more harm to the bike than good. This certainly seems more complicated than opening up the carb of my RE

Welcome to the black lovers' club . In fact the racing blue also looks gorgeous, but that option isnt there in the current edition of the bike.

The model that I mentioned (Carbon S5) is a bit different than its predecessor (look at the one with bracket on the extreme right in the pic below). Unfortunately, a DIY for this model does not exist yet. I have had a look at the DIY links that you sent before and agree that it involves some effort to get them on...but I guess it is worth it. I don't plan to do it all by myself anyways. I would be relying on local SBK experts for this job. And if things workout I can post the proceeds here for fellow kwackers .

                              • Water cooled Vs Oil cooled

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but Ninja is water cooled and most other bikes are oil cooled. Which one is better and why?

                                Cheers
